I’m glad to hear that there are Lilo fans out there. I mean, Stitch is adorable and fun, but Lilo has so much dimension for a little girl! She’s real, so I almost feel uncool for preferring Lilo over Stitch (though I like both).
I think whats great about Lilo is that, as you say, she’s a very realistic little girl and full of emotion. To me she’s a young, female version of Hiccup in HTTYD (which makes sense because obviously the same people are behind both films) in that she’s a lonely and an outcast but she’s knowledgeable and has this telling sense of curiosity and spark to her.
I think the whole movie Brother Bear is underrated! I should see it again once. In English. I only saw the Dutch dub. While Disney is the only studio ever who can make Dutch voice overs cool, I would love to hear the originals!
