I love SSBB. I just unlocked Sonic. He’s actually FAST, like in the old games! I wonder if this is because it’s a side scrolling game. I love playing the pokemon trainer in this game. This is much cooler than melee. Mewtwo sucked in that game.
My name is from a video game. If you can tell me which one it is, you get an imaginary high-five.
Well, I grew up with a Sega Mega Drive so I’m a big fan of the old Sonic the Hedgehog games. I used to love Tails. My neighbour also had a Super Nintendo so I’ve also had a fair bit of practise on the Mario games from when I was about five years old till now, really.
I just got a Nintendo Wii so I’m playing Super Mario Galaxy at the moment. I can’t rate it highly enough. It’s just so fun and imaginative, as well as any age can play it. The music also just plain rocks. I borrowed Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Gamecube from a friend once, but didn’t really get into it. I didn’t really know how to play the game: I’d just press any random button and apparently win and advance to the next level… That sort of lost it’s appeal after a while, though. The new Zelda game has been getting good reviews, so I may invest in that as well, for the Wii.
I love video games^^
It’s a nice way to forget about the everyday’s life and it’s fun. I especially love it to play with my PlayStation. But I’m a little picky about games. When I play a game, it must have a good story. I don’t like those sport games, I’m more in for RPGs like Final Fantasy.
But I also have a Nintendo DS. When I’m in the mood, I play with that.
Those are the games I’m currently playing:
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy IV
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (I have trouble with beating Marluxia)
The words “video game” have been imbedded into both the blood and history of my sister and I since birth. There is no such thing as a game that we won’t play or a level that we can’t win, unless the game itself is extremely violent to the point of idiocy. In any case, we love any type of game – be it for a console or for the computer – and will willingly put our fingers (and thumbs) to the task.
To this day, we still own practically every single PC-based game that we toyed with since we were young, and by “young” I mean less than ten years old. We have, of course, acquired a few, fairly more recent games since then, but our collection was just as extensive before we got the new additions the family.
Read the list if you dare…
PC Games:
Zoo Tycoon (the original game; all three game packs included)
Shanghai’s Great Moments*
The Sims (the original game; we currently own The Sims Deluxe Edition, The Sims Vacation, and The Sims Unleashed)
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis*
Reader Rabbit (From Kindergarden to 2nd grade. Remember these, kids? One of these games was the home base from where I was given the nickname “Kumquats” by my sister. We, of course, don’t play these anymore, although they’re still sitting on the shelf.)
Animaniacs Game Pack!* (excellent for those who are in need of a laugh)
Tarzan Action Game
Tarzan Activity Center
Dino Defender
3-D Dinosaur Adventure* (hours were spent playing this one)
Chaos Island, The Lost World: Jurassic Park* (not for those with weak constitions or an inability to remain calm and collected)
The Land Before Time Activity Center (yes, it is fun)
The Land Before Time Animated MovieBook
Dinosaur Activity Center* (oh, how I wish this worked again)
Frogger Beyond* (too bad this doesn’t work, either)
Disney’s 101 Dalmations Animated Storybook
Disney’s The Lion King Activity Center (good times…)
Interactive Math Journey* (Ha! Gosh, I almost forgot about this one…)
Disney’s Ready to Read with Pooh
The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea
Garden Composer* (heh; we’d play with anything…)
Ariel’s Story Studio
Monopoly Tycoon (I just played it for the music.)
Winnie the Pooh Baby (I got it for my sister, I swear!)
Mulan Animated Storybook (I think this still works…)
Where in the U.S.A. is Carmen SanDiego?* (Ha! That brings back memories…)
Disney’s Aladdin Activity Center (Our eyes are probably ruined for life from playing this game too much.)
Disney’s The Lion King Animated Storybook (Oh my gosh. We still have this? Dang.)
Disney’s Pocahontas Animated Storybook
Star Trek Omnipedia
Call of Duty (Impossible game. I love it to bits, but to actually complete the thing is a feat within itself.)
Putt-Putt Enters the Race (Ha! This is like… Cars in a kiddie format. I spent hours on this thing hoping to receive an admirable award and all I got was a stupid “video of completion” and end credits.)
Rollercoaster Tycoon* (all three game packs; my mom and I almost broke the mouse while fighting over who got to play the next game…)
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
Dinosaur Safari* (poor thing doesn’t work)
PlayStation 2 Games:
Ratatouille (naturally…)
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles (another impossible game)
Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: Battlefront II (awesome beyond expectation)
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (we kinda like Star Wars…)
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legacy
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (not for those who are easily frustrated)
The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge (if my sister never plays this again it will be too soon)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (beautiful scenery)
As you can see, the fact that my sister and I are rabid video and PC game collectors/addicts is a gross understatement. Most of the action and activity centers we own date back to the late 90s, although some of them will still play significantly well on our updated Gateway computer; however, a majority of these games will not run at all, and if they do there will be gliches in the system that hinder a smooth performance, unfortunately.
Croc 2 is, by far, my favorite PC game to date. It is unmatched by any other game I have reviewed, seen from afar, or played to its fullest, and I dare PC games in general to outwit its clever interior and exterior design.
*Games that do not work entirely, refuse to load certain areas/levels, or contain various “glitches” in the system (i.e., the sound is inoperative; specific levels cannot be passed; objects will fail to load; etc…)
I’m a gamer, through a through. I’ve got a Nintendo DS, a PSP and a Playstation 3.
Rayman, in any form, has always been my favourite series of games. I still remember playing Rayman 2: The Great Escape on my old Windows 95 when I was about seven or eight years old, and from then on, I was hooked.
As for other games, well, I like a variety of stuff.
Assassin’s Creed
Virtua Tennis
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (my second love, after Rayman)
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
All the Tomb Raiders
Ratchet and Clank
Jak and Daxter
Rollercoaster Tycoon (the older ones, preferably)
The Sims
Caesar III and IV
Splashdown
Crazy Taxi
Little Big Adventure 2
And a whole bunch of other stuff, but those are the essentials.I love slobbing out on my sofa, playing my PS3 for hours on end. I’ve sold some of my older games, because the money is always useful to buy new games, but some things I’d never get rid of, like LBA 2, which until a few months ago I hadn’t played for about five years since I couldn’t get it to work on my computer! It was so nice playing it again and remembering the music and all the characters. Good times.
Ooh, one game I almost forgot to mention- Pinball Panic. The idea of Randall practically having his own game, with a nifty little introduction that was practically new footage of seeing Randall in action, still puts a grin on my face to this day.
I have loads of video games, but not much time to play them. Over the past few months I’ve played … on the PS2
Bully
Sims 2 Pets
Haunting Ground
When I say played Haunting Ground I mean I wandered about in a middle part where you can get away with not being chased by someone until you enter a certain room.
Lately all I’ve been playing is Sims 2 Pets, which really is just a time sponge.
Games I’ve played but no longer do …
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 2
Jak and Daxter
Sims Bustin’ Out
Sims 2
Final Fantasy IV (not by choice! The third CD cracked. )
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie
Cars
Fairly Odd Parents- Breakin’ Da Rules
Toy Story 2
A Bug’s Life
Super Smash Bros.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone
I’m sure there’s more …
Computer games! (Mostly from when I was a wee one- If I still played these now, not only would it be embarassing but a time consumer considering most of my work is on the computer. )
Freddie Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds
Putt Putt Joins the Parade
Putt Putt Saves The Zoo
101 Dalmatians Animated Storybook
Toy Story 2 (forgot exactly what)
Hades Challenge (dying to uncover that!)
Lets Explore the Jungle
Word Adventure
Jumpstart 2nd Grade
Jumpstart 3rd Grade
Jumpstart 4th Grade
Disney World Explorer
I’m looking into getting my Zelda games up and running again. Miss them.
I’m kind of ashamed of how many games I must own. I feel like I’ve wasted my life. But it’s possible that I’ll end up working for a video game company one day, so maybe this will all pay off.
Haha, I remember Putt Putt. I loved that game.
Guys, I started playing games at a much younger age than it seems like all of you have. I started when I was 2 years old. My dad is a computer nerd so he introduced me to some very primitive Mac games at a very young age. I used to play brickles, asteroids, spin doctor, stuff like that. The first real game I played was Sonic 2, when I was 4 years old. I love that game. It’s still like my favorite video game.
I’m not sure if everyone here agrees, but I’m using this from a commercial.
“From the Womb to the Tomb, I’ll be a gamer”
I’ve been a gamer for as long as I remember, and have grown to be quite the RPG mastermind and inventive in any puzzle brought my way.
Recently I’m working on:
Grandia Xtreme: Beat it already, but want to do the extra dugeons and enjoy the great experience.
Vandal Hearts 2: Recommended from a friend of mine, interesting stradegy game.
Disgaea 2: A first-rate stradegy RPG game made from geniuses in the field.
Phatom Brave: Made from the same people who made the above, another good SRPG with interesting properties.
Played:
Kingdom Hearts (try it folks, one of the new limits)
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts 2
Wild Arms 3/4
Devil Summoner
Shadow Hearts (very enjoyable, takes you from Paris to Russia and a great story)
Devil May Cry 1/2/3
There’s allot more that I can’t recall for now…also played many a Spyro and a TON of RPGs like said.
Well, Since I’m a soon-to-be dad there is little time for video games. But when I do there kinda of relaxing. Anyways, I pre-ordered Super Smash Bros in October of 07 and I got it a week after it came out…which was unfair. And then when I got it…me and my brother went at it for a whole week…every single day off I had we’d put at least 4 hours into it… After 11 hours of game play and we were almost 80% done…my bro had too do his chores, so I started a new game… for just me to play. When he came back I suddenly discovered I had inadvertently erased the whole 11 hours we had played. So very evil.
So now… It’s probably going to be another 2 weeks before I even get to see the end for myself… because me and my wife have some out of town trips planned.
I just want to let you all who haven’t played it yet…Brawl is a big movie that you play…I’d be a little confused if someone here didn’t like it once they saw it…
Oh! I get it now. yeah thats how it is…doesn’t every one wish sometimes thta every Pixar movie would be more than 2 hours haha…we never want the enjoyment to stop
