Oh, I play frustrating games all the time! is an oldskool gamer mostly I haven’t finished the first Layton game, but I was really liking it so far
Professor Layton brings back memories. On my school trip to Paris this past March, my friend Matthew kept complaining that his roomate Obed kept him up all night playing the game Obed let me play it while we were waiting at the airprort. I really liked it, but I haven’t been able to find a copy of the first one at any of my local game stores
Anyone else excited for Pokémon Black and White? They’re coming out next spring
No… I liked Pokemon for what it originally was, back when you still actually knew all Pokemon (when it was actually possible).
All the new stuff… meh.
I guess age did it for me as well. I think I grew out of it.
Sad thing is…I actually know them all
Wow… just… wow.
Czarine: That’s kind of the way I feel with the Sonic games… it feels like they have strayed too far away from the original, so it’s not as exciting.
I have never been into Pokemon, so I don’t even know what that’s all about. xD It’s just all too much for me, I guess.
^Holy cow… my brain explodes just looking at how many different Pokemon there are!!
On another note, I love video games that have a backstory. Mario doesn’t cut it in that way for me. So that’s probably why I have been enjoying the Layton games. The Diabolical Box was basically the first video game that I have played with an actual backstory. And, plus, it’s a mystery game (which I love).
That’s also why I like the Warcraft saga so much. It’s such an amazing fantasy story with dozens and dozens of books. It isn’t just the games, it’s a universe.
I agree I hate how the keep adding new Pokemon, There should of stoped at Johto or Hoenn.
Hey, I like the new Pokémon D8 I think it’s cool even though they keep making new ones
The more the better I say. I like variety.
OMG. I just saw the Bioshock: Infinite trailer It looks like it has nothing to do with the first two (it doesn’t even take place in Rapture), but still. Majorly excited over here. Watch the trailer and tell me it’s not epic. Go on, try
Alas, I’m turning 15 already on the 1st of December, and I’m quite in a fix at what I should ask for my birthday. I already know I want a game.
But I’m torn between Conker: Live and Reloaded, Epic Mickey and Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Halp.
(Conker is probably cheap because the only way to get it is secondhand but I really don’t know about DKCR and Mickey)
Badger: It really is all up to you, girl! Are you being limited to just one game? If so, just look up what you can on each game and evaluate which one you’d end up liking the most. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all the advice I can give ya. But… if you’re looking for the cheapest, I’d definitely go with Conker.
Donkey Kong Country Returns kinda seems like it’s just an extended version of the first three DKC games - well, at least to me. I, personally, will probably not be buying it, seeing as how I have the first three and am perfectly content with them.
Epic Mickey may be worth the buy, though. Unfortunately, I haven’t played that one either, so I still have no idea what the gameplay is like and also if it’s actually an enjoyable game. Like I have said before - I will probably wait until it’s considered an “older” game until I finally decide whether or not I want it.
Yeah, I’m still kinda on the fence about Epic Mickey. It looks great from what I’ve seen, but I’m not too sure about how the gameplay is implemented yet. Will wait for reviews. I’d say go with Conker Badger.
Epic Yarn is out tomorrow And we might pick it up after church!! I’m in stitches… xD
I think I’ll get Conker anyway. (if I can find it.) and probably also the DVD of HTTYD. xD
I don’t know if DKCR will be released by mah burfday so yeah
or I’m just gonna ask money I dunno
So, Dad drove me all the way out to Target at 9 am this morning and we got Epic Yarn. So far, it is really exceptional. The beautiful textures and design, customizable aspects, and overall very traditional platforming that is also able to bring somethin’ new to the table. It covers all the basics and thensome. Plus, the music is just beautiful! Lots of piano. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves the genre
I’m looking forward to Christmas. The more games, the better.
Leirin: Maybe I should look into Kirby’s Epic Yarn, then. xD I might end up looking up the music on Youtube or something.
I have no idea if I’d be able to buy it, though. I’m seriously considering saving up my money for a DSi. If by any chance I ever get one, I’d probably end up buying Professor Layton and Super Scribblenauts.
Best news EVER. There are no words. Being a huge fan of both games, I almost fainted when I saw this.
I was pretty shocked by that, too. First thing that came to mind: “What a clash of art styles…”
I love when the art styles clash in crossovers xD I don’t really know why, I just find it more interesting. It would’ve been weird if they tried to make either look more like each other’s art style, or came up with some weird new one.
Also, Phoenix Wright > Layton.
