Okay, PM me PixarTeo. Thanks! Hee hee whispering is fun!
I know right!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve played video games, but the Sonic All-Stars Racer game looks cool! I might not get it, but it’s cool to see Wreck-It Ralph in it. And since my sister seems excited for the Disney Infinity game, I’ll probably have a play at that at some point.
Pre-Ordering Disney Infinite for PC!!
Can’t wait till E3. Ninttendo is suppose to make big annocements after their suckish show last year. They may releash the first SSB4 photos. I hope they don’t screw up again.
LQstudiesPixar: Well, I highly recommend SASR if you love kart racers like Mario Kart. It probably has the best menu music I’ve heard in awhile.
Don’t worry ma’am, you’re safe with me… in America!!!
I raved about Bioshock Infinite in the Sigs thread. Here it is copypasta:
I pre-ordered the Premium Edition for PS3 and hope to pick it up on Thursday on my Good Friday leave. I haven’t played the first two games but I heard such rave reviews and I love the themes of identity and belonging, plus the idea of an ultra-nationalist faction of the United States floating in the clouds, with dissenters fighting against oppression and discrimination, with a reluctant hero tasked to rescue a girl imprisoned in a cage by a bird (when it’s usually the other way around) just really appealed to me.
Well, Bioshock Infinite is out TODAY! I’m super duper excited (if you couldn’t tell from my reply to FoA). A friend of mine on FB told me he was impressed by the first hour of gameplay alone and described the design and atmosphere as very Pixar-like (and this is from someone I assume is a non-fan, or at least, a casual admirer of the studio).
I just love the themes as I’ve described to FoA above, plus the fact that we might be getting a useful NPC for once! Well, at least, to my knowledge. Most NPCs I’ve played with in games are super annoying (like Princess Amidala and Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace Videogame, goshdarnit ). But apparently the deuteragonist Elizabeth will say differnt things depending on your interactions and even toss you power-ups and health during battle, so it’ll be an interesting gameplay to experience. Plus, I read in reviews that the ending will stay with the player for days afterwards, so it’s gotta have a huge emotional payoff eventually!
My pre-order comes with a copy of Bioshock, and I just bought the 2nd for Xbox a few weeks ago (but haven’t found the time to sit down and properly play through it). I know how I’ll be spending my next month gaming-wise!
By the way, I played a few levels of Industrial Revolution (a pre-order game that earns you unlockables) and got bored, so I “cheated” and went to the Bioshock Wiki to get this Facebook banner which I’m now wearing as my sig. The “Vox Populi” are a Les Amis de l’ABC-like underground group who seek to overthrow the totalitarian and racist government called “The Founders” in Columbia, a city in the sky.
Vive la revolution!
Playing Paper Mario: Sticker Star right now as well as Elite Beat Agents. Can’t wait to play Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon!
Getting back into playing Ratchet and Clank again. God, my all time favorite series of games! I love it most on PS2, brings back old memories of when I was 6 and trying to play RaC
I just got the PS2 Rockstar classic Manhunt yesterday and have been playing it like crazy even since. Man, this is one sick game. Although there are probably bloodier games nowadays, the violence is EXTREMELY brutal for it’s time. I won’t go into to much detail about it other than the fact that it’s a stealth game where you play as a death row inmate who has to use hammers, knifes, axes and many other nasty weapons to fight back against violent street games. I love the gritty environment as well, it’s clearly been inspired by run-down US cities like Detroit and Camden. The music sounds like something out of a John Carpenter flick and suits the atmosphere perfectly.
It’s easy to see why this game caused alot of controversy back in 2003 (especially over here when it was thought to be connected to a tragic murder case). Definitely not one for the faint of heart. Many of you won’t be interested in it anyway. I for one though, am really enjoying it even though I feel I shouldn’t.
So yeah, E3 is gonna be soon. My thoughts?
- Super Smash Bros.! If K. Rool is not going to be in I’m going to cry. Really loudly. They’ll hear it all the way at HAL Laboratory. And it’ll be an incentive to put him in anyway. Forget logic!
- There’s been talk about a Regular Show videogame, and it would be released later this year - if that is the case we’ll probably see something of it on the E3! And you can bet I’m excited!
- Expecting anything Donkey Kong. C’mon, Nintendo. Give the ol’ ape some respect.
^ Hey Badger, do you have a Nintendo 3DS? I know you’re a huuuge DK fan, and I heard Donkey Kong Country Returns is coming out for that console (I believe it’s out on the Wii U already). Have you played any of the versions? I’m considering pre-ordering the 3DS one.
…
I’m excited for Remember Me. It’s like a mix of The Bourne Identity, Total Recall, Memento, Inception and The Matrix. Not really original, but the execution looks good from the trailers so far.
Remember Me Memory Gameplay trailer PG-13 for coarse language
I started borrowing Nights: Journey of Dreams from a friend, although I’ve barely made any progress on it. Too many games to play!
TDIT: While it is incredibly nice of ya to tell me that, I was already aware of it. I appreciate it though And… I’m honestly a bit disappointed in Nintendo about that game. I mean, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is nearly the same as on the Wii, except for an added 3D function, an easy mode (seriously the game is brutal) and an extra level or somethign… and since I already have the Wii version, I’ll… probably still buy the 3D version too. Seems I got money to spare. (except not im poor) But YES DKC Returns is beautiful and I should definitely recommend getting it on either console!
But nope, as I’m typing this, I do not yet have a 3DS. I’m gonna buy one, though, mostly because of the Regular Show game (official title; Regular Show; Mordecai and Rigby in 8-bit land) is gonna be released on that. And I also like Luigi’s Mansion 2 and yeaah it looks awesome
Badger: I’ll probably get Donkey Kong Country Returns for my 3DS (I just bought it last month). I don’t have a Wii console, although I’m tempted to get the U just to play Lego City: Undercover alone (I have the prequel The Chase Begins for 3DS, but it lacks the features compared to its Wii U predecessor and the draw distance is terrible). DKRC looks good from the gameplay videos (I like playing old-school platformers, as I grew up on Crash Bandicoot), and now hearing your verdict on it, I’m gonna pre-order it from my local game store tomorrow.
Haha, regarding your thoughts on “double dipping” for DKCR, I feel the same for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I already have it on my Xbox 360 but I feel like getting the 3DS one to play on the go (and it’s easier to lie on the couch or bed with a handheld than to sit up and face a TV). And the awesome theme song is one of my earbugs.
There’s a Regular Show game? Interesting, I know there’s an Adventure Time one, though!
And yes, I’m loving Luigi’s Mansion 2 as well, it’s like playing a Pixar movie, especially with Luigi and the ghouls’ funny animations!
I can’t wait until The Last of Us comes out. I don’t usually play post apocalyptic games, but reading about the two characters and their relationship got me interested. Also, the game looks so beautiful. A post apocalyptic setting has never looked so beautiful IMO. I think Naughty Dog is to the video game industry what Pixar is to the movie industry.
I played Heavy Rain a month ago, I loved it, and beat it in three days. It’s my second favorite game of all time. I’ve never become so attached to a video game character like I did the father. At one point towards the end he died, and I was thinking that I’ve been through to much with him, I have to see him rescue his son. So I went back a chapter, played it again, and beat the part I died on. I know that that’s not how the game should be played, but I couldn’t let him die.
The next game I’m going to play will be Journey. im waiting for when I have the time and energy to sit and play it all the way through at once.
So like Nintendo had their say at E3 and I just kind of died and revived again because there’s a new DK game coming out and Dixie Kong is in it I’m so happy!!!
Also new Smash Bros. which looks very promising too.
I would’ve typed more but I’m too excited, sorry!
Yes, I am very pleased with Nintendo Direct. The only thing I’m a bit bummed by is the lack of new franchises for the company—almost all the games are sequels/off-shoots to well-established franchises right now. Which there’s nothing wrong with, because these games are great! But I’d love to see some new faces…
I love Nintendo, but their E3 showing bored me. The only surprising thing about their showing, for me, was that the new Mario isn’t a 3D Mario game like 64 or Sunshine. Where’s the Nintendo that came up with fun, new innovative ideas. I thought that I would be dropping cash on a WiiU sometime soon after this E3, but it looks like I’m not. I’ll be getting a PS4 (Knack!) before I get a WiiU. Even if I am falling in love with Wonderful 101. It’s not enough 4 me. This will be the longest I’ve gone without get a new Nintendo system. And they still haven’t shown off what’s so special about the game pad.
The game they announced and talked about at E3 2013 that I am most looking forward to are Star Wars Battlefront, Kingdom Hearts III, Battlefield 4, and Halo 5 Not sure if I’m gonna get an Xbox One or Playstation 4 cause the PS4 looks better, but Halo 5 is gonna be an Xbox One exclusive. At first I went straight to PS4 cause of Kingdom Hearts III, but now that they announced that Kingdom Hearts III will also be for Xbox One I am back at the undecided stage.
I used to play Yoshi’s Island on the old Super Nintendo. I also used to play PacMan; however, I also played Tetris on the old GameBoy. Today I play the iOS version of all Angry Birds games.
