I really do love Facilier, although you do make some good points there love70ways!
thewisecookiesheet- I absolutely adore Shego! Definitely one of my favorite of all time villains xD most of the time I was rooting for her, not KP.
TDIT- you took the words right out of my mouth. Demona and Eris were always super sexy. I wish that more ladies like them would appear in actual Disney movies. I mean- Disney movies do have a lot of good female villains (such as Maleficent, Lady Tremaine, Mother Gothel) But none that I think could ever live up to being as hot and attractive as those two…
I also really like Hades. He’s one of the only villains who I actually could kinda see his reasoning for hurting Herc, and I kinda agreed with him also. I don’t know, maybe it’s just that I hate Hercule’s guts xD
Like woody, I like the ‘shadow man’, but you made some interesting observations that I didn’t realize before, love70ways!
thewisecookiesheet and JSWeC: I haven’t watched enough KP, but Shego looks like a pretty interesting character to me! I think deep down, she’s not as bad as she appears to be either!
woody: Haha, glad I’m not the only one who thought so.
Hades was funny. Even when I was a kid, I found him utterly hilarious, even when he sent all those scary creatures after Herc. The funniest part was when Herc punched him and his face went all inverted. Oh, and when Pegasus blew out his ‘flame hair’. I was practically roaring with laughter at those parts back then!
I think you guys mean Leon K Fox. I don’t recall Love mentioning Dr. Facilier.
I saw The Princess and The Frog a couple weeks ago.
I found the Shadow Man strangely endearing. Maybe it’s the gap-tooth.
Frollo is my favorite Disney villian of all. And my sister loves Hades.
Oh, and Maleficient is amazing…and according to the House of Mouse cartoon show, EVERY male Disney villian wants to date Maleficent. Anyway, I think she’s funny, especially when she is talking to the prince and is like, “A hundred years from now, when you are old and haggard, you’ll ride out on your ancient pony moving ever so slowly.” Sleeping Beauty really is a fascinating take on the fairy-tale Briar-Rose, as Maleficent jokes about the prince being capable of riding out to awaken his young princess, with his aging muscles, and when he kisses her she’ll wake up and see an old man and say, “Ewww, get away from me!” “But I’m your true love.” “Phillip? But you’re like my great-great grandpa.”
Also, when Maleficent says, “Every cradle? All these years you’ve been searching for a baby?” and starts laughing wickedly before she zaps the little gremlin creatures.
I love Frollo, Gaston, Scar, Malefecent, Mother Gothel, “Goob”, The Evil Queen, and Hades.
How can you love Mother Gothel? All she cares about is her own beauty…
Well, all villians have their own way of being evil. I like Mother Gothel because of how dramatic she is.
Oh, I should say something about the Shadow Man. He wasn’t my favorite Disney villain, but he was definitely the high light of PatF for me. Probably my favorite character.
Foulfellow and Gideon represent! Seriously though, they were cool, even though it’d probably be better if they received their comeuppance by the end of the movie like they were originally going to.
Are those from Pinocchio or something? I don’t remember them.
Yes, they are.
Dr. Facilier is one of my favorite Disney villians.
^ He was my favorite character on the movie.
Mother Gothel is my favorite Disney villain. I don’t really know why, but I just like her, she’s so dramatic.
Dr. Facilier’s a good one too. My mom thinks he’s a freak and complains about “how creepy this movie is, and that I should turn it off!” whenever I try to watch TPatF, but I like him.
Scar’s another favorite. No reason why, but I just like him.
I also love Disney villain songs, too.
^ Disney villain songs are awesome! I love how their personalities come through in them.
And Gothel was just, I dunno, dramatic. I loved her weirdly, and I thought it was funny how at the beginning with Rapunzel, she did all these little things which I recognized from real life. Like when they were both in front of the mirror and she was like “Oh look! You’re here too.” I just found that realistic, and funny in a weird way.
I know, you just said that! Kidding, I can’t decide who’s my favorite character from that movie, I really like all of them. Besides Lawrence.
I found Lawrence a bit annoying, too. And I found Lottie to be annoying quite often, but I still like her for some reason.
Really? I found Charlotte to be hilarious.
She almost felt like an affectionate parody of disney-princess fans to me, which I think is very funny.
Haha, that’s a good observation!
