W.A.L. - E - Pixars' next?

I’ve no idea, now. What genres are there that Pixar haven’t covered?

As curious as I am to know what this rumored W.A.L.-E project is, I think I would rather be surprised by it

when it comes out, than to know everything about it before-hand. But that’s just me…

For some odd

reason, every time I hear the word (W.A.L.-E) I think of coyotes. You know, like Wile Coyote from Warner Bros.?

:stuck_out_tongue:

On the other hand, it might have some correlation with the ancient (Pixar) short, Andre

and Wally B. However, this is just speculation, and is probably irrelevant to the true story

behind the W.A.L.-E project. Then again, if it’s not irrelevant to the plot of the

project, then it just might have something to do with the characters Andre and Wally B. Perhaps, if my obscure

calculations are correct, the formula would go something like this:

W.A.L.-E = Andre and

Wally. B
Wally B. is a bug, which = A Bug’s Life
Which means

that A Bug’s Life = W.A.L.-E

A Bug’s Life 2?

Highly unlikely, since one of the significant characters in the film (Heimlich – voiced by the late Joe Ranft)

would not be “qualified” to make a cameo appearance. Then again, I could be wrong…

lizardgirl - You asked if there is a genre/field that Pixar hasn’t

covered yet. Indeed, there is: Space!

I

always think of Wal Mart.

And yes, space is a possibility, and as we’ve recently discovered,

there is going to be a Pixar short called ‘Lifted’, so W.A.L.-E. could be to do with that.

Yeah, I hope W.A.L.-E. isn’t code for “A Bug’s Life 2” That is the one film (now that I’m

recontemplating MI) that I am confident that should not have a sequel.

Anyways, The fact that they are

releasing a short about aliens in Lifted menas odds are, W.A.L.-E. won’t be about aliens. But hey, this is

PIXAR.

We can expect the unexpected and still be TOTALLY surprised . . . which is another reason why I

love them!

I don’t think W.A.L-E stands for Woody and Lightyear- Encore.

Well . . . hey a TS3 will eventually be in production,

right? Otherwise, Allen wouldn’t have said what he said.

W.A.L.-E. just seems like it’s going to be

another original film. Nothing wrong with that. Helps expand the PIXAR Universe - that way, when we DO have a

TS3 one day, it’ll feel like visiting some good ol’ friends who are in another great story!!

For some reason “W. A. L. -E” always makes me think of birds.

That is intresting. What made you think of

that? I am curious myself.

You know I herd on Radio Pixar that for a short time

?Birds Of A Feather?was listed on Wikipedia.

I have no idea. It just makes me

think of of the short “For the Birds”.

Yeah I wonder what that’s all about

anyway…

After reading the article from ‘Oogie’ about his trip to Pixar, I’m pretty sure, W.A.L.-E.

is going to be something about aliens, outer space,… . Someone at Pixar told him that they need the shorts to

see if they CAN do something with animation.
Lifted —> W.A.L.-E. Is the bell ringing in your head?

There definitely could be some relation. There aren’t any

hints of any other projects coming up, so what else could it be?

Although WAL-E would’ve had to start production in

2004/5 to be coming out in 2008/9. If lifted has just now been completed then they started it about

simultaneously. Not much of a test run there. If they are testing for a sci-fi feature length flick then I

suspect it has just started within the last few months setting it up for a 2010 release.
