They just played it!
[spoil]The small talk between Woody and Buzz was cute, and I loved WALL•E doin’ the worm with the vacuum hose.[/spoil] ![]()

Pretty funny, but I didn’t feel that comfortable having able to use them to promote the film. Seeing that vacuum scene only would have been a bit better personally.
The commercial was awesome. Buzz and Woody are so cool.
Update: Also wall-e.com has updated. completely, it’s awesome, go check it out. The commercial is on there, and the site intro is just amazing.
Wah, just had to delete my new post. You beat me again PV.
I was pleased to see it. Way to kill two birds with one stone, Pixar!
SO FUNNY! ![]()
That’s such a great marketing scheme, using Buzz and Woody to promote your movie, I’d do it again until TS3 comes out, if I where them.
I’ll have to catch it on Youtube, seeing as my family and I don’t watch sports. ![]()
JF: Look above, I kinda posted that, but either way, I was going to post my favorite lines.
Woody: I heard he goes to infinity!
Buzz: But not beyond!
Woody (whispers to himself): Yeah, he goes beyond…
[spoil]I liked the different version with Woody and Buzz commenting. It could have been cheesy for Pixar to use their Toy Story characters to promote a future movie, but luckily it didn’t turn out that way, to me at least. [/spoil]I think the ad was short, funny, had character recognition, and was just plain cute! I think it will be a hit with the general audience. ![]()

I think you might need to have QT installed to be able to download it, though. I can’t seem to get the QuickTime HD link either…
I know, I was just repeating what you said. I should’ve mentioned your post, though. Sorry!
/Film has a good theory about why they used Buzz and Woody. Because Disney isn’t too sure people will grasp the topic, unless they put an added incentive: slashfilm.com/2008/02/03/wal … /#comments
Although I don’t 100% agree with it, it is probable. What if they use more Pixar characters to promote WALL-E, I’d love to see my favorite Pixar pals back again, even if it means just for a few seconds.
On another note what do you guys think of the redesigned logo, the metalic look, does it work? I’m still getting used to it.
JF: Wow! I sounded mean, sorry
Now I see what you where doing.
I happen to like the metallic look. ![]()
And it’s alright, Martini. I understand. ![]()

[spoil]I couldn’t quite put my finger on it at first, but Woody and Buzz look so polished, huh? It has been ten years since they were animated last in Toy Story 2, and the technology has progressed so much since then, but it just looked a bit weird at first. I guess that’s what they’ll look like in Toy Story 3.[/spoil]
I didn’t even notice that, at first. I really like it. It’s shiny.
rachelcakes1985- I hope we get to revisit other Pixar characters soon.
I was at a Super Bowl Party at a Youth Center. And when I saw that promo for Wall-e. My jaw nearly fell off my face. It was so cool. I want to see the MOVIE NOW!!!
Come to think of it. They did look very polished since their aperance in Toy Story 2. I wouldn’t be surprised if that a preview of what they will look like in Toy Story 3
Also, the vacuum cleaner seems to be from this century because of its power cord. Maybe it’s just a “what would happen if WALL•E encountered technology from the past?”, type of thing…
Hey guys along with the new polished look, I am excited about that room Buzz and Woody are in… possible Toy Story 3 set, or maybe just a bunch of puzzle pieces from previous sets. Obviously Andy’s TS1 room wall and I think thats Al’s cheeto nap couch. Either way it was a lot of fun. (First post…complete)
Hey rachelcakes1985, I used you Promo video on my new Tech site. nightwheel.wordpress.com/. Thank you for Putting that video on youtube.
I dont think Tom Hanks is doing the voice of Woody in that commercial. I noticed right away
