Amazing !
I already knew WALL-E was the 2008 movie that I wanted to see the most, but now, I can’t wait. The last image of the trailer ([spoil]with the wall of satellites[/spoil]) is just genius. Amazing image of what could be our future.
Firstly, the trailer: like all of the others preceeding it, I love this trailer so much. It gives just enough of a hint of what the story will be about, and if you really think about it, you can figure it out, but it doesn’t spell it out for you. [spoil]Are those the humans on the spaceship?[/spoil]
Yes, [spoil]the wall of satellites is genius and I guess the humans liked to keep track of everything before they went and ruined the planet.[/spoil] I lurve WALL-E’s beeps and boops, and I really want to hear him talk. At least we finally know [spoil]how he gets into space, and the last scene makes you want to know what he gets up to once he leaves Earth.[/spoil]
So in that respect, the trailer has done its work in displaying a very endearing character, one that you can connect to, and mixing it with the technological aspects that sci-fi geeks will love, and making the audience to want to see what happens in one of most unique films in a long time.
***** stars.
The new poster: Now, that is the poster I’m talkin’ 'bout! The other one that JV got sent just looked wrong and I knew this is how it should have looked. I really want to know which will be the official poster for the movie. I like the white one with WALL-E looking cute, but they’re all so good.
I looked at the trailer yesterday and i really liked it a lot. I’m not sure why. At first I thought it was the same one since it kinda starts out the same way but it obviously wasnt…
I like it how WALL-E plays with things he thinks looks cool. ![]()
Funny when he finds out that those things aren’t so cool (especially ping-pong xD)
I actually laughed when he [spoil]put the bra over his eyes[/spoil]. Such naivity is funny, yet so sweet, and it makes it easier to love him.
This film is going to be amazing.
My favorite part of the trailer was when he [spoil]played with the fire extinguisher, which somehow still has the foam in it.[/spoil] But what I like is that it shows how much versatility WALL-E has in his legs, that otherwise look stationary.
Edited for spoiler content. – Mitch
Are they even legs? Oh, well. Whatever they are, WALL•E sure can move them. xD
Well technically they aren’t legs, they are tracks. But part of making a non-human character relatable is to to give them human tendencies like when [spoil]WALL-E tried to kick away[/spoil]. I loved that part as well. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Wow I loved it!!! Is this the official trailer?
Finally, a new trailer! As I said before, what I’ve seen so far of the movie looks great, but I will not post spoilers, so I’m glad the new trailer now shows people actual scenes from the movie, instead of just an “image” trailer as the first one was. Interesting that even though 3 days of music has already been recorded for the film (with more to come in the coming months) they didn’t use any of it for the new trailer, but instead kept with the “Brazil” music.
(Archibald), it’s not really a wall of satellites, but basically a wall of space garbage/debris
Interesting that you don’t see any shots of Eve in the trailer yet .
I’m just amazed that that car alarm’s keychain battery is still good 700 years later…
Willing suspension of disbelief I’d call it.
I saw the new trailer. I was excited. I was expecting more stuff, but I guess the trailer did its job. It got me even more intrested in it.
I just saw National Treasure Book of secrets and they showed the Wall E Teaser Trailer.
Yes, this is a bit of a break in routine. If memory serves me correctly the past three Pixar films used some sort of original arrangement that had the basic main theme used in the movie, throughout the trailer. I would have liked to have heard Thomas Newman’s original music, especially as I’m taking a liking to the Finding Nemo soundtrack and want to see how incorporates the sci-fi/space/love/adventure theme into the score for WALL-E.
But I guess that will just have to wait until Pixar release another 10-minute preview (if they choose to do so again), or until I watch the TV spots, but even then I bet they will use the Brazil song for them as well… ![]()
I saw the trailer… Gosh, peoples’ socks are going to be blown clean off by this film. Those last few seconds were absolutely astounding…
– Mitch
I agree with you Mitch. But I think I find the couple seconds after the Pixar Logo part were the moments I found most astonishing. I was blasted away with his cuteness.
I also love how the last part of the trailer shows [spoil]WALL●E going for a ride into the darkness of space, simply because it suggests the possibilities of all the things he could get up to.[/spoil] It leaves the audience wondering what happens next, which is what a good trailer should do, really…
And WALL●E’s scream at the end… sigh
Ha-ha! Yeah, I think you’ve put it perfectly, there.
