I’d really like some people to join with me in prayer for my uncle. My grandparents haven’t heard anything from him recently, so they went to visit him and found him leaning against the wall, looking really out of it and he wasn’t responsive. So they called the ambulance and he’s in the hospital right now.
No one knows what’s wrong. The doctors don’t know what’s wrong at this point. My mom just went up to the hospital to go see him, and she’ll call me when she gets some news, but I’m really scared that something might be really wrong with him. I don’t really know him, but I’m afraid of him dying because I know his heart is not in the right place.
I would appreciate some support during this time. Thank you all so much.
I’ll be praying for your uncle, little_chef_eva09. And I’ll let everyone know at church so they can join in prayer, too. May God’s merciful healing hand be upon him.
Thank you both so much, and thank you BDD for getting your church involved in prayer as well. My church is praying as well.
An update: My mom left about an hour ago to go to the hospital downstate. (You know it’s bad when they have to send them downstate. ) Last we heard, he wasn’t doing good at all. He wasn’t responding physically or mentally. Man, I’m really scared…
All I’m really praying right now is that he is responsive just long enough to hopefully turn his heart around. I’m scared of him dying and knowing that he wasn’t saved. Keep on praying, guys…
Today in school we had this play for black history month. While most people were seated, I was in the back looking for one of my friends. About 30 feet away one of my teachers looked like he tripped. I sat down with my friend, we could see the teacher from where we were, but he was still on the floor, and the police officer that is at our school everyday is just standing over him.
Turns out he had a heart attack. He was just lying there for at least 10 minutes before the officer began CPR, the paramedics came 10 minutes after that. They tried shocking him, but from what I heard it hadn’t worked. All the while they play went on.
Finally, they had the play stop and everyone leave the auditorium. They loaded him into an ambulance and finally took him to a hospital, but after 30-40 minutes of his heart stopped, I really don’t think he is going to make it.
I know its kinda weired to post this story here, but just keep him in your prayers, he was a really great guy.
I pray for the entire school, that they will feel the comfort that God can give in this time of sadness and grief. May they learn just how simple this life is and how easily we can overemphasize the future and what we will do in it.
I pray for the teachers family as they suffer through his departure. I pray for you too Floridabum…experiencing a death is not easy. I pray that you may feel calm and be able to show the rest of the school peace.
[i]God will work in this city, in this place, in these people.
I’m so sorry to hear that, Floridabum. My old high school just lost a beloved teacher not to long ago, so I know how you and everyone else must be feeling. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, the rest of the school, and the teacher’s family.
Floridabum: May God give you and your school peace during this tough time. That is an absolutely horrible story… I hope you and your school are doing better.
Another update on my uncle - My mom was able to send me emails using a computer that the hospital has available down there, and it has really proved to be helpful since she does not want to waste minutes on her tracfone.
My uncle is doing much better. They’ve removed the breathing tube from his throat and they have his blood and sugar levels back to normal, but his heart rate is still low. However, he has been responding to commands and is able to acknowledge the presence of my family members.
The doctors think the problem was a combination of him not getting enough fluids and not taking his medication.
My mom says she wants everyone who has been joining us in prayer to know that their prayers are working! Thank you all so much for your continued support - please keep on praying for the whole situation. She has had a lot of favor while she was down there - the people she is staying with (our pastor’s daughter and son-in-law) have been so gracious to her.
Again, keep on praying… We will never be able to thank you enough for all of your precious support!
I’m so sorry to hear that, Floridabum. That must’ve been such a shock for everyone at your school. My thoughts are with you and those at your school, and also the family of the teacher.
I’m really pleased to hear that your uncle is doing better now, red! I hope he continues to improve.
I’m having issues with my family right now. This is pretty personal, but I need to express my feelings.
My uncles house has been foreclosed. Luckily my grandparents have a beach house for him to live in nearby, but there is doubt that he will ever move out and my other uncle’s family needs it in case they have money issues. Plus, it could have been prevented if he was smarter. It’s a long story, but he was just being stupid, and now he got the consequences.
My aunt is now leaving my other uncle. He called my mom to get a divorce lawyer. I love my aunt and I’m worried that she will leave our family. Plus, they can’t afford a divorce. They need that money to pay their own mortgage.
My first uncles son’s girlfriend. They live together. In my uncles house. And don’t pay any bills. And she’s the mother of his baby. Yeah. Oh, and did I mention she’s amazingly stupid!?! Now that is house is being foreclosed, they have nowhere to go. She wants to get a house near all of her friends so they can drink and party together. Never mind my cousin’s only job is super far away from there. And that he doesn’t make nearly enough to pay for that. And she’s only 20. God! I hate stupid people!
Whoa, Rac_Rules, that’s a serious tangled knot of problems you’ve got there. Hang in there, I’ll pray for your family’s peace and wisdom and that things will turn out all right. (Your first uncle’s son’s girlfriend is not making a wise decision). I hope things will be okay.
Wow…that is loads of problems right there…i pray that you may find peace through it all and that your family members may have a revelation to what is going on around them. That they may find themselves and open their eyes to see what they are in. That they may be guided to a decision that will correct their paths.
Hi, everyone. A classmate of my sister’s, and the brother of one of my old classmates, just went into the hospital for internal bleeding. We’re not sure how serious it is, but we think he will pull though, but, please, if you can, try and say a prayer for him and the family. Thanks.
