What good things are happening in your life right now?

Improv shows are always so fun to do. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, just as long as you have fun and entertain people. I co-coach myy old high school improv team, so I’m feeling ya mo.

My school is having a week of minimum days. And tomorrow, my classes are gonna be crazy short- late start, early out, and an assembly will take over most of the time, so my classes might not even have enough time to assign homework!

So far in the week, I used my extra spare time that resulted from the minimum day schedule to work on my videos. So far, so good. Let’s just hope they don’t get stuck again this time…

Well, I managed to get four A’s this week, one in German, two in Art and one in Technology (which is my very first A in this subject) and I have good chances to go to the Wirtschaftsgymnasium.

Other than the school stuff, I was finally able to properly save my video and I uploaded it yesterday dances^^

WON: That is very good news to hear. Keep up with the good grades.

mo - Good luck with the show tomorrow!

BDD - I too have such little class time in school. Four day week, three of them lasting only several hours, and the longest (on Thursday) starts at 9, has a two hour lunch break from 12 to 2, and ends at 3! I guess all that extra time is for us to discuss and collaborate on our portfolios, which is like the Big One for our final year!
Well, that’s good if you’ve got time to indulge in a little fandom there, lookin’ forward to those videos…

WON - Congrats on the good marks! Maybe you’d like to post a link to your video (is it a Pixar-related fan one?) so we can have a look?

Well, I applied for a student contributor position with my university’s student magazine (pretty much anyone can do it really, I’m not on the editorial team, and I submit work whenever I want) , and they offered me a spot doing movie reviews! As you can probably tell, I love writing reviews and offering critiques, so this is a pretty cool job! The first assignment I got was to attend an advanced press screening of… Monsters Vs Aliens! I’m so excited, this is my first time writing for a printed publication (although my essays have been picked for my secondary school yearbooks before), so I’m mighty stoked, not only about getting to see Dreamworks’ latest animated film before anyone else, but also to see my name on all the issues that will be distributed around the entire campus! This is awesome, no, be-yawesome! Oh, and yes, I’ll be looking forward to doing one for Up.

TSS and TDIT: Thanks, guys.

TDIT: I just posted the link in here. It’s not Pixar related (I just have no ideas for a Pixar vid but I’m going to make one as soon as I have an idea).

You’re welcome WON.

I finally got my Xbox fixed!

But i have nothing to play

Mark-E: If you have a bit of extra cash, you should go out and buy yourself a nice game to celebrate.

Omg, I can’t even believe this… I am SO excited…!!!

My sister’s birthday is coming up, and as a part of her birthday present Mom and Dad are getting her (we’re sharing, though) The Art of WALL•E and the WALL•E Hypersuite program for the computer in our room…!!! We’re both so friggin’ excited…! We’ll actually be able to hold that book in our hands and leaf through the pages… (Man, my extreme WALL•E geekdom is showing through…)

Now I just have to convince her to get us that Ratatouille poster featured in my avvie, since my brothers are taking our extremely special Prince Caspian poster (it was the actual theater poster, and someone from church gave it to us!!!). Maybe for my birthday this summer, when everything’s on sale.

little chef

Yay, I passed my driving test this morning! Now to actually get a car…

little_chef: Wow! The Art of Wall-E! I guess you reminded me to mention that I also got that book and the Art of Bolt on my trip in Singapore (but I had to plonk down a huge sum, those coffee table books are mean expensive! But oh, they’re so worth it!). So yeah, that’s another good thing that’s happened to me recently.

lizardgirl - Congrats! Driving really gives you that sense of empowerment and freedom and independence and all kinds of awesomeness. Let us know which car you pick as your first.

Well, I just watched the advanced media screening of Monsters Vs Aliens and it was a pretty enjoyable experience! Now I have to knuckle down and write that review for my school… :sunglasses:

THree words: Spring Break Baby!!!

red - How awesome! She’s getting the Hypersuit program, too? Dude…

Happy birthday to your sister, by the way!

lizardgirl - Congratulations to you! What type of car are you thinking of purchasing?

I may go to Pixar Animation Studios this May. Maybe…

– Mitch

Pixar in may Mitch huh? Really cool. What is the occasion?

The Star Swordsman - Yep. This is the occasion:

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get my driver’s license before May. I may have to sleep in the car overnight instead of rent a hotel room or something if I do attend this event, but, heck, it would be worth it. :stuck_out_tongue:

– Mitch

Wow, sweet Mitch. Lucky you.

Ok. I’m actually kind of freaking out right now. I just got to talk in a chat with Steve Melching and Henry Gilroy, two of the writers on The Clone Wars cartoon, and Gilroy is the head writer. Steve gave me a little advice. and Henry actually wished me good luck! I’m actually shaking a little. Even though they only said a little to me, it was so cool to get some encourgament from people doing what I want to do, and working on my favorite franchise of all time, and a very awesome show. Too cool.

thedriveintheatre: Yep, short classes are almost always a great advantage, aren’t they?

little_chef_eva09: Tell your sis I said happy b-day. Those gifts are really something to look foward to.

lizardgirl-Congrats!!!

The Star Swordsman: Do ya plan on doin’ anything over your spirng break? Travel somewhere, or just relax, or maybe a little of both? (That’s what I do).

Mitch: You’re real lucky to have that oppurtunity, Mitch. Yep, if you do have to sleep in the car, t’ll be worth it all right. Definitely.

DocKenobi: That’s so cool- no, more than cool- awesome! It’s really great to hear that you’ve got the fantastic oppurtunity to talk to the two of them and they gave you advice and encouragement! I’ll bet you’ll never forget it!

Okay, for me:
Basically, my week is hectic, with projects is progress from different classes and a big test to study up on. But there are some real good highlights of it.

-My family rented some movies (including Bolt!) and borrowed some all in the same day, and I don’t even know how many movies there are but I know I’ll be watching plenty this week! I just hope I can find enough time…

-This one I’m REALLY excited about. I finished 2 videos AND they DIDN’T GET STUCK! Finally!
There was one video I had finished months ago but it got stuck for a really long time. After a computer crash, I had opened the file from a USB and it worked temporarily, but got stuck the day soon after. And now, weeks later, AT LAST, I tried opening it from the USB again, and it worked!
And thanks to my last minimum day week, I had enough time to make another!
One of them is a trailer mashup, the other is a music video. None of them are Pixar-related however, but I still hope you’ll watch them and enjoy them once I’ve got it uploaded. What films did I use? You’ll see soon!
(I won’t upload it just yet though…I want to add this little “signature video clip” at the end so people will remember who edited the videos.)
I’M SO EXCITED!!!
(OK, sorry if I sound like I’m freaking out about something that seems typical, I’ll calm down…)

-And I’m also quite excited that Disney Channel seems to have at least a little respect for Classic Disney. This Saturday, they’ll be showing 4 Classic Disney films in a row!! Their theme is about heroes. They’ll be showing Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, and Aladdin all in the same day! (Oh, geez, I wish they’d spread it out…[I’m watching a lot of movies this week!])

TSS - I get an Easter week break in a fortnight! Oh yeah!

Mitch - I clicked on the link and saw your comment that it’ll be on the same weekend as your sister’s graduation. Well, I don’t know how you’re gonna do it with the time clash and hefty price tag, but if you do, that’d be totally awesome! Best of luck!

DocKenobi - I can tell you’re a SW fan from your username, Laugh Out Loud! How in the world did you meet your idols? By chance? At a screening event? Cold-call interview? Well, count yourself lucky, man!

BDD: Ooh… a trailer mash-up? Very. Exciting. And a music video too?
I think the “signature video clip” you’re referring to is a “channel ident”. They use that all the time on commercial TV. You could also add a watermark on the corner of your videos, although that would be too self-indulgent. Me, I just add a ‘credit card’ (“Edited by thedriveintheatre”) at the end of my trailers, or a beginning and end ‘ID tag’ for my music videos.
I miss the old classics they used to show on “The Wonderful World of Disney” every weekend nights. I don’t know what the usual lineup is now cos I don’t have cable, but it’s good they’re still playing the old favourites.

Mitch- I’ve now decided I probably won’t get a car, as the obscene amount of money they cost to run is not worth it. Thanks though! And that event sounds really cool- hope you get to go!

Off to Nottingham (nicknamed ‘Shottingham’ by some. I wonder why…) for a few days next week for a Psychology Conference, which should be fun, and then Wednesday night there’s a much anticipated foam party being held by our Sixth Form. Yay for foam!
