Pixar in may Mitch huh? Really cool. What is the occasion?
The Star Swordsman - Yep. This is the occasion:

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get my driver’s license before May. I may have to sleep in the car overnight instead of rent a hotel room or something if I do attend this event, but, heck, it would be worth it.

Wow, sweet Mitch. Lucky you.
Ok. I’m actually kind of freaking out right now. I just got to talk in a chat with Steve Melching and Henry Gilroy, two of the writers on The Clone Wars cartoon, and Gilroy is the head writer. Steve gave me a little advice. and Henry actually wished me good luck! I’m actually shaking a little. Even though they only said a little to me, it was so cool to get some encourgament from people doing what I want to do, and working on my favorite franchise of all time, and a very awesome show. Too cool.
thedriveintheatre: Yep, short classes are almost always a great advantage, aren’t they?
little_chef_eva09: Tell your sis I said happy b-day. Those gifts are really something to look foward to.
lizardgirl-Congrats!!!
The Star Swordsman: Do ya plan on doin’ anything over your spirng break? Travel somewhere, or just relax, or maybe a little of both? (That’s what I do).
Mitch: You’re real lucky to have that oppurtunity, Mitch. Yep, if you do have to sleep in the car, t’ll be worth it all right. Definitely.
DocKenobi: That’s so cool- no, more than cool- awesome! It’s really great to hear that you’ve got the fantastic oppurtunity to talk to the two of them and they gave you advice and encouragement! I’ll bet you’ll never forget it!
Okay, for me:
Basically, my week is hectic, with projects is progress from different classes and a big test to study up on. But there are some real good highlights of it.
-My family rented some movies (including Bolt!) and borrowed some all in the same day, and I don’t even know how many movies there are but I know I’ll be watching plenty this week! I just hope I can find enough time…
-This one I’m REALLY excited about. I finished 2 videos AND they DIDN’T GET STUCK! Finally!
There was one video I had finished months ago but it got stuck for a really long time. After a computer crash, I had opened the file from a USB and it worked temporarily, but got stuck the day soon after. And now, weeks later, AT LAST, I tried opening it from the USB again, and it worked!
And thanks to my last minimum day week, I had enough time to make another!
One of them is a trailer mashup, the other is a music video. None of them are Pixar-related however, but I still hope you’ll watch them and enjoy them once I’ve got it uploaded. What films did I use? You’ll see soon!
(I won’t upload it just yet though…I want to add this little “signature video clip” at the end so people will remember who edited the videos.)
I’M SO EXCITED!!!
(OK, sorry if I sound like I’m freaking out about something that seems typical, I’ll calm down…)
-And I’m also quite excited that Disney Channel seems to have at least a little respect for Classic Disney. This Saturday, they’ll be showing 4 Classic Disney films in a row!! Their theme is about heroes. They’ll be showing Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, and Aladdin all in the same day! (Oh, geez, I wish they’d spread it out…[I’m watching a lot of movies this week!])
TSS - I get an Easter week break in a fortnight! Oh yeah!
Mitch - I clicked on the link and saw your comment that it’ll be on the same weekend as your sister’s graduation. Well, I don’t know how you’re gonna do it with the time clash and hefty price tag, but if you do, that’d be totally awesome! Best of luck!
DocKenobi - I can tell you’re a SW fan from your username, Laugh Out Loud! How in the world did you meet your idols? By chance? At a screening event? Cold-call interview? Well, count yourself lucky, man!
BDD: Ooh… a trailer mash-up? Very. Exciting. And a music video too?
I think the “signature video clip” you’re referring to is a “channel ident”. They use that all the time on commercial TV. You could also add a watermark on the corner of your videos, although that would be too self-indulgent. Me, I just add a ‘credit card’ (“Edited by thedriveintheatre”) at the end of my trailers, or a beginning and end ‘ID tag’ for my music videos.
I miss the old classics they used to show on “The Wonderful World of Disney” every weekend nights. I don’t know what the usual lineup is now cos I don’t have cable, but it’s good they’re still playing the old favourites.
Mitch- I’ve now decided I probably won’t get a car, as the obscene amount of money they cost to run is not worth it. Thanks though! And that event sounds really cool- hope you get to go!
Off to Nottingham (nicknamed ‘Shottingham’ by some. I wonder why…) for a few days next week for a Psychology Conference, which should be fun, and then Wednesday night there’s a much anticipated foam party being held by our Sixth Form. Yay for foam!
Today I started my drivers ed online instruction. I finished the first chapter out of nine chapters. I can’t wait. I also bought the new Sum 41 greatest hits cd. It’s totally awsome!

I actually just met them in an online chat for a SW podcast. They were interviewing the supervising director of The Clone Wars, and the two writers just popped into the chat to listen to the show. Sorry, if I misled you. I just thoguht it was cool because the chat wasn’t a Q&A thing, and they could have completley ignored me. I wouldn’t say idols. Cool people certainly, but George Lucas is the closet thing to that.
The Star Swordsman - Thanks!
bright dot-dasher - I really am willing to sleep in the car just so as I can go to this thing. It would save on hotel expenses, that’s for sure! (snigger)
Thanks, dude!
thedriveintheatre - Actually, that was member uruseiranma who said that his sister’s graduation takes place on the same weekend. I don’t know if my sister is graduating on that day or not. Either way, we’ll see what happens.
Thank you, by the way!
lizardgirl - Ha! Well, I don’t blame you. You’re welcome, though. (chuckle)
Dude, that is so… cool. geeks out
– Mitch
After 6 tries I finally got Alan Rickman’s autograph! He is my favorite actor of all time so I am super excited to now have his autograph! He signed and personalized the photo I sent him in January! Very happy right now!
Other than that, I’ve been home all week for Spring Break. Nice to be home and relax for a bit. Although I head back to school tomorrow with a lot of things waiting to be finished.
Oh wow, that’s cool, Hannahmation! Well done for persisting!
Yay for the Spring Holidays! Just started ours, so that’s two weeks of blissful revision time.
The best news I have heard all year. My parents forgot to give me a graduation present last year, so they plan on sending me to Hawaii in late June.
That’s extrmemely cool, TSS. I’m jealous.
Wow, TSS! That’s one amazing graduation present! Hawaii looks like a beautiful place to visit!
The best I’ll probably get for a graduation present is a new pair of black Chuck Taylors.
little chef
Hey, Chucks rock little_chef_eva09. Not as much as Hawaii, but still. Very awesome to know, I’m not the only person who still refers to them as Chucks
DocKenobi: Yeah, I already have a pair of red ones (the 1st ones I got <3) because I was dying to have shoes that looked like Alfredo Linguini’s. So I’ve had my red Chucks for about a year now. (Yeah, I don’t hear many other people around here call 'em ‘Chucks’… I hear ‘Converse’ more than anything. ) But yeah. I wish I could at least get a car for graduation, but we just don’t have it.
little chef
I used to have red Chucks when I was little, because of Sonic the Hedgehog. I wanted to get them a agai a few years ago, but my mom said it would be stupid. I still kinda want them. And they are Chucks. Converse is the brand, not the name of the shoe.
Yeah, a car would be pretty cool. You could compete a little with TSS, then.
The best thing thats happenning to me right now is that my Odyssey of the Mind team (which is a creatvity club in which you have a problem and have to create a play with your own costumes and script and it has to be humorous.) is going to state finals! We are so excited!
