What would you pick as a job for pixar ?

The Star Swordsman - Yep – I know. Which is why I said

that it “sounds” like an easy job; things are not always as they seem. Thanks for the "heads

up", though.

Yea I know, voice acting is tough, Do you know how many

different ways you have to say one line? :open_mouth:

Great question!

I’d like to do something ala Brad Bird as in Creating, Writing, Directing, and providing

a voice. I’d also like to produce a short or two. To start out though I’d like to work in IT for the company

 • that way I have my hands in a little bit of everything. =D

Nobody else would want to be a film composer? :stuck_out_tongue:

Aggie - Heheh – looks

like you’re the only one.

Actually, I might take a shot at it…if I had the chance. I have this

“ability” to make-up very unique songs out of the back of my head.

It must be a very difficult

career to continue – you have to develop a score from scratch, with only an uncompleted film around for

support/reference. And since the music often “makes” the scene, it’s important that the composer sees

to it that his/her music is top-notch.

I

would, but I am not really good at writing music. I can try conducting, but not writing.

I’ve

tried composing stuff, Aggie, for my music GCSE, and it doesn’t come easy to me, personally, so no. It is

fun, though.

I think I’m pretty musical and I want to compose something later in my life, like a musical

or something. But I’m not THAT good at it, that I could do it as a job. In the music industry, you always

have to be at the top.
So, you see, my problem is that I’m good at many creative things, but not that good,

you know. But, I still have time… :unamused:

I can imagine

the difficulty in writing a score, but I just looooove composing stuff! It can be stressful at times to make

deadlines with my compositions, but I always anticipate the outcome. I guess when you work with composition

programs like Sibelius and Finale, you’re just tired of the artificial sound and want to hear what the real

performers will make of it. That’s what of the best parts of writing music, for me.

But I guess this

is a bit off topic… maybe I’ll make a thread explaining my thoughts in depth. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey everyone ! I just looked at the pixar job forum , and they’re looking for an

intern ! Let’s all go ! lol . i’m not aloud to work . stupid child labor laws !

I

know!!!

I am going to ask my family if I can work there. They might think I’m crazy,

but what the heck.

The Star Swordsman - Yeah, go for it. Get us free

passes if you get a job there.

Well,

first I have to actually get the job.

The

Star Swordsman - Which is what I hope you will eventually achieve.

Hopefully, I can persue my dream of voice acting for them

while I’m there.

The Star Swordsman - Well, like I said before, go for it.

Pursue your passion…and don’t give up on it.

Heh – come to think of it, I probably shouldn’t be

giving out advice; it always gives me the creeps, for some reason. :stuck_out_tongue:

Does anyone know what the intern will do?
It could be

anything (or even a bit of everything)… That doesnt actually sound so bad… argh, i wish i lived closer to

america (and had a work visa)… *sigh

I might could be a lyricist as I’m fairly good at

writing lyrics but I’d be dismal at the actual score and tunes. So perhaps we could colaberate on some

stuff.

That’d be fun! I don’t find myself very good at writing lyrics, so I think

it’d work out perfectly.
