I was told today that our family friend’s dog died this week. It’s really sad that a dog’s life is so short compared to human life. I mean, she is the third dog I knew from childhood that died in the last five years.
It’s been pretty quiet around here lately.

Reading They Came to Baghdad
Got all my reading homework done today and some math.
I agree. It is very sad.
I went for a walk and got my dad into Led Zeppelin.
I think this is sad as well. From what I understand, dogs tend to live to be around 12 and cats a few years older. From the beginning of high school until my second year of college, I had two dogs and two cats pass away. I’m an only child and I love animals dearly, so it was a big deal to me and was like losing a family member. If only cats and dogs could live longer, like some other animals. 
Thankfully all my current animals (1 dog and 3 cats—the cats are more “mine” and will live with me later on) aren’t in their senior years yet and are healthy, so I hope I don’t have to deal with another death for several years or else it might traumatize me. One cat is missing most of her teeth, but I think it may be because she was a stray for quite some time, although I don’t know how old she is. She’s so energetic I have a hard time imagining that she’s old. And anyway, one of my previous cats had that problem but lived for several years after becoming completely toothless, and he could still eat dry food and everything.
My friend actually adopted her first cat with her girlfriend 6 months ago, and the poor cat ended up having kidney failure at the young age of 2 and passing recently. 
Watching Basic Instinct.
That dog was about 14,5 years old (and so was our dog when he passed away). It’s sad that your friend’s cat couldn’t live to her senior years. 
So, let your pets have long lives! 
We’d like to have a new dog, and all our friends advice us to, but we haven’t decided to do it yet for some reason. I hope we will soon, though.
It’s suppose to storm today. Hopely not as bad as they say.
I go back to college tomorrow.

Just been playing Grand Theft Auto IV with my friend online. Killed a bunch of cops mostly.
Excited about The Casual Vacancy.
I watched It Might Get Loud, and thought it was a great documentary, really enjoyable.
We still don’t know Brave’s release date, but we’re proceeding with our Pixar weekly marathon anyway. It’s A Bug’s Life today.
