Making a Cornetto marathon with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Can’t wait for The World’s End!
I’m tired of seeing blurbs on the Internet everyday I log on about Netflixs impending doom. I had no idea Netflix was watched so closely by people out in the world of blogs until recently.
About to watch Jack the Giant Slayer.
True!
I watched Hitchcock.
I saw Beautiful Creatures. Boooooooring. But not as bad as I just expected, I did not vomit or contract gingivitis during the movie.
Yes, I thought the same. I was expecting a Twilight level of badness.
Instead I was able to bear it.
Exactly! I thought it would be just like Twilight based on the trailers.
Yes, but it wasn’t as bad. Not that I thought it was good.
I’ve heard the books are much better, though.
Eh, I’ll skip the books. I’m trying to read a lot of fantasy, and classics. I’d rather not waste any time. They say not to take other’s words, but regardless based on my dad’s thoughts I’ll be skipping reading anything by George R.R. Martin for sure. I love honor and moral codes; I can do without the skepticism. And naturally, I’ll be skipping Riordan, Myers, and that fat frump who wrote 50 Shades of Grey. I’d just rather limit what I read to things that I know are good, rather than waste my time on what I consider garbage.
That was rather vocal ![]()
I think I’ll watch Michael Clayton before going to sleep.
Sorry. I get emotional sometimes. ![]()
I’m so tired. Been helping my church all week and still doing school on top of that.
Watching Justice League Doom.
I saw that! Glenn brought it over. I liked it, but they might as well have just used Ra’s like in the storyline. Your thoughts?
I made 48 muffins. And now they’re gone.
I wish I had eaten more of them myself.
What do you mean by that?
As I understand, instead of Vandal Savage, Ra’s Al Ghul lead the villains to try and kill/weaken all the JL members. Is that not right? And Vandal Savage is just like a dumb version of Ra’s anyway.
Actually, Savage was created in the 50’s and Ra’s Al Ghul in the 70’s, so he pre-dates him.
But yes, in the comic that Doom is based upon, Ra’s Al Ghul was the main antagonist. But even the League members involved were others, and the story was different, so it’s just a loose inspiration more than an adaptation.
Oh okay. I still find Ra’s more compelling personally. But, either way, I always find the DS animated universe movies lacking. I don’t know what it is, but after watching one of them, I feel like there’s something missing. I hope one day I either realize I’m imagining this, or they fix it. ![]()
Well, I think some of them are quite good considering that they’re conceived for a very small audience.
But there’s still room for improvement, yes.
Yeah. I enjoy them very much, I just feel like there’s a little -oomph- missing.
