Watching Kick Ass 2.
Agree! I certainly like it better than Cars 2 and probably MU(sorry), but I see the flaws. It’s sad, because I can see and feel moments where they could have made the film great. But I like it, and it is what it is.
Yeah! I totally agree. There’s no way it could be considered a BAD film, in my eyes. Just a much simpler one than we’re accustomed to, maybe.
I do think the grammar is slightly off (or rather, it sounds too formal), but it does make sense! Haha, I can’t even picture in my mind what Steve Buscemi talking in Japanese would sound like. ![]()
Are you writing a review or are you sucking up to the creators?
When writing reviews, please do be reminded that the ideal review is a truthful one, not a ‘nice one.’ There’s a distinction between being right and being nice; learn it.
I do hope I didn’t offend anyone. But it’s always been a peeve of mine to see people write “So-and-so has written such a remarkable story in this so-and-so title of a movie that I just ABSOLUTELY adores it.” ![]()
Watching The Last Airbender.
Oh sweet mother of Aang, are you in for a treat. It’s even more insulting compared to the brilliance of the show’s writing.
I’ve never seen the original, though.
It was bad, but I though it was going to be even worse after hearing so much fuzz about how abominable it was.
That was my dad’s reaction. He was disappointed that it was slightly bearable.I think the acting, script and characters speak for the poor quality personally.
Yes, the poor quality is obvious, but the popular comment, is that it’s the worst thing ever done.
Which isn’t true. Just one more of so many bad pictures.
Another day. Another disappointment.
It’s most stunning to me how bad The Last Airbender is after reviewing M. Night’s other movies like The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. It’s unreal how he adapted such a great source material so poorly. ![]()
Well, his only good pictures were the early ones. He has lost his touch, as he keeps failing film after film.
Oh, I don’t think it’s the worst film ever. I would be slow to call anything that, just like the best film ever. It was just such a horrible waste of source material, as Leirin said. They had everything handed to them wrapped up with a bow, and they ruined it. I feel like the film was the franchise’s chance to reach a wider audience, and M. Night ruined it. I do like his first films, but he deserves the hate he gets in my opinion. He misled a very large fandom and everyone got excited, only to go see…that. I’m glad I wasn’t a fan when the film came out. It just seemed poor in quality to me. But now it seems like an insult, and a waste of the most perfect source material ever. It’s one of the few films I wish had never existed. I can only hope one day someone will remake it, rather than the supposed sequel people keep speaking of.
Yes, I agree. In a sense though, I almost wish it were worse so it could at least be so-bad-it’s-funny; it’s just… boring. ![]()
Thought of the day:
Don’t force your audiences to suspend their disbelief; that is your job as a storyteller.
That’s true, at least then it would be entertaining, and I could view it as a spoof.
Watching 2012.
Lately we’ve been watching a lot of bad films we had never seen before.
I am going to play Buzz Jungle Party, one of my fav Buzz games.
I really want to eat, but I’m scared I’m sick. I woke up this morning not hungry at all, which is really weird for me. I don’t feel sick, but I think waking up not hungry has been a sign of being sick for me before. I’m waiting until I feel hungry to eat. I think I might finally feel hungry, so I might try eating something.
I’m really in the mood to draw some Pixar fanart. ![]()
