Congrats, TSS! Let me tell ya, university may feel like heck at times, but it really is one of the best years of your life. You’ll have a greater chance of meeting friends who share the same interest as you (because of the sheer size of the university population and the plethora of student societies on-campus). You’ll have lectures which you have the option of skipping (if you’re not interested) or ducking into (if you are interested) which is not a luxury enjoyed in elementary/high school. You’ll experience all the freedoms of adulthood, along with the responsibilities. You have less obligations than a working adult, as your parents will still be paying the bills, accommodation, and course fees. You’ll also make plenty of mistakes, but the consequences are not as bad as if you are working and making a living, or if you have a family.
And most important of all, no uniforms and teachers telling you what hair style to wear! This is not such a big deal for most American schools, but for the conservative ones and schools like in Singapore, Malaysia, or Australia, this is a very big deal for students who have had their fashion freedom stifled by teachers and the principal for years!
This is the best chance to really explore your possibilities, try new things, and really express your individuality, without fear of bullying (cos’ most folks would be matured enough by then) or being humiliated (because basically everyone at uni is passionate about something). I wish you the best of luck, and never lose sight of your dreams.
IV: It’s April 1st in Oz already… remember the Sig Swap? It appears you have, though, judging from your signature. Whose avatar are you wearing? Oh, and I agree that writing papers absolutely sucks as much as, if not, worse than doing the laundry or the dishes.
EJE: Should be midnight in America by now? I think? Anyway, I was under the impression we were doing avatars, so you guys go ahead and wear whatever you want! Can’t wait to take screenshots of this whole forum turned upside-down by us assuming other members’ ‘identities’. Anarchy rules for one day, I guess.

Right now, I’m thinking: THANK GOD it’s the weekend! I’m listening to Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ and I’m as happy as a lark. I got an annoying interview done after attending my friend’s graduation today. And we had a late lunch, and now the only thing I have left to do is to type up a review for my school magazine by tonight, and submit one more assignment for next Thursday, then I’m good for a fortnight and I can concentrate on my long-awaited fanwork.
I’ll probably start on some Rio ones first in anticipation of the movie, which is coming out in less than a week! I’m super-duper excited, I can explode with joy.
