What's on your mind? (Status Updates)

"Have fun, BarbieandKenfan! Lemme tell ya, Germany’s loads of fun. I went there a few years ago and we visited Berlin. Yes, the Berlin Wall is down, but there are still stretches of it left untouched for tourists to take pictures with and read about its history. Be sure to go to the mock checkpoint, they have ‘soldiers’ dressed in Allied and Soviet uniforms that you can take pictures with. Oh, and there’s an ice-skating rink in there (can’t remember the name), and I went in winter, so I remember seeing people skating on it. It was beautiful.

And look out for sports cars on the Autobahn. Apparently, there’s no speed limits!"

I think that we won’t be going to Berlin. We will be going to the Black forest and the city that the Grimm brothers were born. I will look out for cars on the Autobahn

My niece’s fiance is from Guatemala. My niece met him at college. I don’t know if we will go to Guatemala some day

Yesterday I had an interesting Fish and Wildlife Conservation class.

We went to two different vernal ponds, to look at an example of a good and an example of a bad habitat for my area’s most endangered species, the California Tiger Salamander, which is a federally protected specis. We even got to see some of the tadpoles that would become salemanders!

Boom. Boom. Boom. Three assignments slayed this week. One more sucka to go next week. Got an annoying interview with a contact for my assignment tomorrow, but before that I’ll be attending a friend’s graduation. Looking forward to it.

On another note, the arrogance of some Pixar elitists really astound me. Most Pixar fans have an open mind and heart to other studios, it’s the ignorant and narrow minority who explode at any minor criticisms or comparisons that truly ‘impresses’ me. :unamused:

What’s on my mind is (especially in later seasons for both) … is it just me or is Josh from Drake and Josh VERY similar to Ross from Friends??

I got accepted into UC Irvine.

I’m so confused!! About TDIT’s new avatar, I mean. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a crappy paper to write. :frowning:

Back from Quebec!
I miss it already… :frowning:

I’m sorry. Maybe you’ll get mto go back sometime.

lol, I knew about the sig swap, but when I saw his sig this morning, I was like “Wuhhh! Confuzzled!” Just wait until it’s April Fools for the rest of the world, it’ll be madness! I didn’t know that we were doing avatars too, but I think it’s a good idea, I’ll be switching mine too.

TSS: As I said on another forum, congrats! How many more acceptence letters are you waiting for?

rock-itpop: Welcome back! Glad you had fun and got back safe.

^Exactly. XD

Anyway, I really hope my dad makes tacos tonight. I’m very tired of chicken.

ellie-jessie-eve. I applied to two. I got accepted into one, got rejected by the other.

Congrats, TSS! Let me tell ya, university may feel like heck at times, but it really is one of the best years of your life. You’ll have a greater chance of meeting friends who share the same interest as you (because of the sheer size of the university population and the plethora of student societies on-campus). You’ll have lectures which you have the option of skipping (if you’re not interested) or ducking into (if you are interested) which is not a luxury enjoyed in elementary/high school. You’ll experience all the freedoms of adulthood, along with the responsibilities. You have less obligations than a working adult, as your parents will still be paying the bills, accommodation, and course fees. You’ll also make plenty of mistakes, but the consequences are not as bad as if you are working and making a living, or if you have a family.

And most important of all, no uniforms and teachers telling you what hair style to wear! This is not such a big deal for most American schools, but for the conservative ones and schools like in Singapore, Malaysia, or Australia, this is a very big deal for students who have had their fashion freedom stifled by teachers and the principal for years!

This is the best chance to really explore your possibilities, try new things, and really express your individuality, without fear of bullying (cos’ most folks would be matured enough by then) or being humiliated (because basically everyone at uni is passionate about something). I wish you the best of luck, and never lose sight of your dreams.

IV: It’s April 1st in Oz already… remember the Sig Swap? It appears you have, though, judging from your signature. Whose avatar are you wearing? Oh, and I agree that writing papers absolutely sucks as much as, if not, worse than doing the laundry or the dishes.

EJE: Should be midnight in America by now? I think? Anyway, I was under the impression we were doing avatars, so you guys go ahead and wear whatever you want! Can’t wait to take screenshots of this whole forum turned upside-down by us assuming other members’ ‘identities’. Anarchy rules for one day, I guess.

Right now, I’m thinking: THANK GOD it’s the weekend! I’m listening to Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ and I’m as happy as a lark. I got an annoying interview done after attending my friend’s graduation today. And we had a late lunch, and now the only thing I have left to do is to type up a review for my school magazine by tonight, and submit one more assignment for next Thursday, then I’m good for a fortnight and I can concentrate on my long-awaited fanwork.

I’ll probably start on some Rio ones first in anticipation of the movie, which is coming out in less than a week! I’m super-duper excited, I can explode with joy.

Ha ha. THanks for the tips TDIT. I kinda figured most of the stuff you mentioned out already because I attend community college, which is like a lower level of a university, but next year is where i get to be by myself without my parents. It’s gonna be an adventure.

I can’t wait to move on to a universitiy. I’m at a community college right now. I don’t exactly call CC and JCs ‘lower level’ though. A lot of kids at mine got accepted to Universities, but couldn’t afford it! So they’re going to transfer. There are dozens of reasons to go to a CC though. For me it’s a money issue and a "I don’t know what to do with my life issue’. I like my CC though, it’s the best in the state, there has been talk about turning it into a California State University!

I hope to transfer in a year though. I’m thinking about 3 California State Universities (Humboldt, Chico, or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), University of Nevada Reno, University of Hawai’i Manoa, or University of Nebraska Lincoln. I know, they’re all so different!

Anyway, I’m glad you got accepted to Irvine, it’s getting so hard to get accepted to schools these days, especially in California. Congrats!

TDIT: I’m wearing my own avatar. :stuck_out_tongue: It might ring a bell, because I had it on about a month ago. Thanks for noticing, though! Rapunzel is so adorable.

Pretty good day today. And my sister’s birthday party is today! So Glenn and some of her friends will be over.

Breaking News: I am leaving Pixar Planet.

Breaking news: He chose April the 1st. to leave 8D

Breaking News: April Fools!

I’m embarrassed. I got a bloody nose while volunteering at the public library. Luckily it stops. I am fine. I feel so bad right now.

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one with an embarressing moment.
