What's on your mind? (Status Updates)

We do have a lot of talent here at PP, don’t we!

love70ways: I apologize if you’ve stumbled across my art page… I haven’t updated it in like a century. The more effective way to see my art is to visit my dA page, which I can give you if you’re interested. :stuck_out_tongue: (I’ve improved a ton since I last posted in that dusty old Pixar fan art thread!)

I’ve been so lacking in Pixar art these days. Gee, I wonder why. :unamused:

I can’t believe I’ve made 1710 posts already. I guess it could be more if I posted more, but I’m very selective about what and where I post. :stuck_out_tongue:

I read somewhere that 99% of status updates on FB are about hunger or lethargy. I find that true, come to think of it.

So I’m debating on whether to pay a visit to the Darling Harbour IMAX tomorrow to watch Avatar for the last time now that the ‘Special Edition’ is out (I watched it twice in conventional 3D and 2D and this would be the best time if any to see it in the IMAX format). I’ve got a 20% off voucher, and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna see this, whether with my mates or not, but I’ve got errands to run tomorrow and I’m wondering whether to get it done and over with or settle for ‘delayed gratification’.

I know it sounds pretty inane, but that’s what’s occupying my mind at the moment. As well as how to plan out my 2-week Spring Break.

I hate the somewhat addicting quality the internet has. =/

Funnily enough, Leirin, I read an article about the addictiveness of the internet the other day. It’s a massive issue that psychologists are concerned about at the moment, but even the labelling of it as being an ‘addiction’ is causing problems; does calling it an addiction nullify the importance and seriousness of other addictions, such as substance abuse? Can it be called an addiction if withdrawal symptoms are not present, or if it does not interfere with the person’s every day life? And for those that do suffer from these symptoms, it seems as though reducing internet usage gradually just doesn’t work- they have to go cold turkey to not suffer the urge of wanting to use it again. All interesting stuff. It’s amazing how psychology has had to adapt and even develop new areas as technology has adavanced!

Anyway, I’ll stop now.

I actually viewed your dA page last night! I think I found the link somewhere in one of your fan art threads. I was so impressed by your talent!

A lot of your art looks digitaly done, but I believe you hand draw them and then add color on the computer. Is this correct? If so, what program do you use? I have simply no clue about art technology.

I also found Czarine’s dA page via his website. I can’t wait to see what he does with the Cintiq!

I want an ocarina.

love70ways: Oh wow, thanks! And yes, most of my art is done digitally, usually using a scan of my pencil drawings. I use Photoshop CS3 and a Hanvon 8060 GraphicPal tablet to digitally color and draw my art.

And I also can’t wait to see what Czarine does with his Cintiq, too! He was showing me some drawings on Skype yesterday.

LOL, Leirin. That is the most random thing I’ve read all day.

Copying what I posted on Facebook today:

If you can’t post something worth reading, then don’t post anything at all.

But I mean that. Who honestly likes reading posts that say “bored.” and nothing more? And how exactly am I supposed to comment on “tireddddd” ??

I’m actually having a fun time talking to myself in the chatroom right now. They finally fixed the backspace thing!! Yay!

Haha, glad you’re having fun talking, Daughter of Eve. I love talking to myself in the chatrooms.

That’s always fun DoE! I’ve done it before…

I’m wondering why my mom won’t let me get a Facebook… I’m in 9th grade. Please mom??

I just got back form my APUSH reunion pool party. It was a lot of fun. We played “Guess My AP Score”. It was fun!

Sean, what’s APUSH??

Advanced Placement United Staes History.

My class this past year was extremely tight. There was only ten of us, and our teacher really liked us all. We could just joke around and not have to worry baout anything. As well, we had “Food Friday” every week; someone new brought in food each Friday! We were kind of obssessed with food… 8D It may have distracted from learning one or two times.

However, we were all really close and decided to have a reunion of sorts before school started up again.

Aaaw that’s awesome! It sounds like my math class. There were seven of us, and we had the same teacher for five years. So we basically grew up in that room together. Now off to highschool. I’ll miss them all so much <3 You’ll be in the same class with them this year though, right??

I am just super tired, and am looking forward tommorrow. I’m visiting my old High School tommorrow, visit teachers and whatnot. Then going with some friends to get Ice Cream.

That sounds fun  I love ice cream. It’s great.

Have fun, ellie-jessie-eve!

I am dearly hoping that they’ll actually have the five other books in the How to Train Your Dragon series at the library. Because for some reason, every time I go to check out the books, there’s always several missing. It irks me. >8I

I plan on renewing the three I have and getting the first five (that is, if they actually have them), then reading them in order. Maybe doing some art based on the books, if I’m motivated enough. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

What I always do is put my books on hold, so they’ll be ready when I get to the library and I don’t have to go searching for them.
