Alright, I’m in a rant mode here. Mild language (no swearing, though).
Seriously, these videos are beyond annoying, and just plain disturbing. I mean, there’s a bunch of them, too. Why? For the few people who do end up watching these videos, they just leave negative feedback, because no one wants to watch that crap.
I’m bringing this up because most of the time, the toys are Buzzs or Woodys (because they were the most popular toy at the time those brats were growing up). I mean, it just pisses me off that back in the day, getting a Buzz Lightyear was a very big deal, but now, some scumbags take that for granted and destroy things to look cool. Which they haven’t even succeeded at that either.
I feel bad about it, so I try not to watch them. I already chastised someone about throwing a Buzz Lighyear off the roof- mainly because they posted how it was a sibling’s toy. So I had a fit and wrote them to buy their sibling a new one to replace the one they destroyed -Omar
Same reason people like to watch things blow up. its human nature, for guys at least, to enjoy seeing things destroyed. of course there are plenty who dont want to see them messed up, like us, but we’re not everybody, you cant stop it.
Even Pixar guys like Joe Ranft said they used to play with toys like Sid growing up, burning them, tearing off limbs, etc, that was what they liked doing.
It kinda sucks, but their isn’t much we can do about it. Everyone plays with toys differently. They either play with their toys like Andy, or play with them like Sid… or maybe somewhere in between.
I was more of the Andy type cause I use to play with my Polly Pockets and other toys like he did. It was a blast. My sister was like me, but for whatever reason she always liked to chewed on the hands and feet of Barbie dolls. I even know someone who use to love setting toys on fire.
Like Kyle said it’s human nature. Playing with toys in any way you see fit is just a part of growing up. Even as adults, playing with toys or destroying them to the point of no return is just a form of entertainment. There is nothing wrong with it unless the toys of our world are like the toys in the TS world. If they are then we need some kind of law like Animals have, but for toys. Lol
Well, I always looked after my toys as a child, and I still do even now, but if someone’s gone out and bought a toy and then wants to trash it, then surely they have the right to do that? And to film it and put it on YouTube if they want to. I can certainly understand why people do that- it is quite fun, after all.
I don’t agree with those who do this with their sibling’s toys, though. That’s just mean.
I’m really not seeing the big deal, sorry. I mean, I don’t do it myself, because I have better things to do with my time. But why be actively angry at people who do do it?
Not trying to be rude, I just really don’t understand where the problem is, or why this could possibly upset anyone.
I think they’re pretty dumb too. I mean, I kind of enjoy the Furbie ones, because those thing are goshdarn creepy, why would you destroy a perfectly good toy?
I’m not trying to get people to change there ways or anything, but just keep the crap off YouTube. It’s just a quick way to get attention, and people like me hate when it’s flooding the suggested videos and such.
Hey! YouTube actually has a lot of videos dedicated to launching Buzz Lightyear from a rocket! I guess many people really wanted to send the spaceman into orbit.
Hey, I’m no saint when it came to playing with my toys. There were many bonfires where an army guy’s house was being burned down. I’m simply annoyed about the videos and stuff.
I don’t really agree to that, especially with My Little Ponies. I used to collect them a couple of years ago, and I still know which are rare and which aren’t. I remember I used to throw fits to those people who found it hilarious to burn rare MLPs they somehow found off the street (in bad Engrish, too xD) but now I don’t really care. I just don’t watch them.
I do however customize Littlest Pet Shop figurines, does that count?
