Violet Parr, thedriveintheatre, Gemini: Thanks! And I agree with all of you about Mulan- it’s a spectacular movie, one of my favorite Disney Classics.
thedriveintheatre: “Heartmelting” is a good pun for Ice Age 3. Go for it! Also, I can’t answer your question about the font, because I don’t know myself. I didn’t make the avatar, actually; I found it online. I don’t know who made it, really, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind me wearing it. After all, wearing it is a sign that I like it. It’s pretty much a compliment. It’s not like I took credit for making it. (It’s like when you wear a cool outfit that people like and they compliment you for it even though you obviously didn’t design it) I’m glad you like my find, though. Thanks!
(P.S. Don’t worry about the ramble, I still read through it and I agree with you on the movie. Plus, I sorta rambled a little here already, heheh.)
You’re welcome, BDD. And there’s no problem with borrowing other people’s graphics (as long as you acknowledge them if you know who’s the creator). After all, the Internet’s like a huge clothes swap party.
I like woody’s Jack Sparrow avatar. He’s like my favourite anti-hero of all-time. “Why’s the rum gone?” Cos’ you drank it all, Jack.
thedriveintheatre- Thanks ! The font I used is… palace… something… Wait, let me check… It’s Palace Script MT Semi B… It doesn’t show the rest of it, but that should be enough to find it. Thanks for the compliment !
The Star Swordsman- Thanks ! But I don’t really like the video I set to it. I’ve been thinking about changing it to this:
Thanks woody! Never been much of an Ice Age fanboy before, but I am now!
I like little_chef’s. Very nice floral pattern design, that reminds me of vines and flowers and nature and all that. Paired with the teaser poster of Wall-E staring at the heavens, and it’s simply sublime!
Tah-dah! How’d ya like my new avatar? Some of you may remember me wearing a Ponyo avatar in the beginning of the year, but this one’s a different screencap from the Apple trailers site. I love the background, would make a great wallpaper.
This is to celebrate the U.S. and Australian theatrical release of Miyazaki’s latest animated adventure on August 14th and 27th respectively, and in honour of his meeting with Mr Lasseter at Comic-Con just a few days ago.
I’ll be wearing this for a few days, at least, until I roll out Coraline and District 9 graphics!
I really don’t understand why the Yank and Aussie fans have to wait so long to experience this masterpiece.
As a matter of fact, I did, woody. Around the beginning of the year, five-six months ago in Singapore. If you thought that was early, the Japanese actually watched it last year!
I think I posted a review somewhere… but in summary, it’s by no means as spectacular as Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke, but it’s more whimsical and quirky like My Neighbour Totoro or Howl’s Moving Castle. It’s above average, but still worth the watch if you get the chance to see it (I think it’s a limited release, as most indy or foreign films unfortunately usually are).
Anyway, B.O.T. I like Captain Pan’s matching avatar of the Tepui landing. The font looks like Indiana Jones; once again, I must ask you: W.F.I.I.? (What Font Is It?)
Cap’s new avvie is great, and I really like Goggles’s sig, pretty sweet style to draw Ellie (if that IS Ellie, could just be a pic of herself if she’s a girl)
ffdude1906 and TDIT Thanks for the comments! I’m really pleased, normally my little Avatars don’t have text cause they are so small. But couldn’t leave the opportunity not to use the font…
TDIT The font is called SF Fedora Font available at dafont.com There You will find its 8 files… Including the Symbol form and the minor titles used for “Temple of Doom” etc…
