Oh! All right. Aaron Burr was the Vice President of the United States in 1804, and he killed Founding Father/1st Sec of Treasury in a duel. When Hamilton was shot he dropped to the ground. Hamilton is now on the American $10 bill.
Anyway, on Saturday Night Live, there’s a skit about two guys lazy sunday, and how they’re spending so much money and they say “You can call us Aaron Burr by the way we’re dropping Hamiltons”
Thanks, TDIT! I just adore her so much. And I’ve always wanted her to be an [official] princess, if nothing else, so I could affordable get my hands on a doll of her. She’s pretty, she doesn’t discriminate against the little guy, and she kicks butt! I actually really love your Rio signature. I just noticed the quotes from PP members on there! Cool.
Kida reminds me of Chel from El Dorado, some fans have even drawn them in crossovers!
But yeah, she is technically a princess (albeit a very old one!), so I don’t see why Disney didn’t make her part of the official lineup.
Thanks for the compliments! Hope you liked the quote I picked from your review. I’m thinking of doing one for Rango, and maybe Kung Fu Panda 2 and Cars 2 in the future if enough people comment!
Yes, actually she and Chel do seem very similar, especially in clothing. I said that to my dad once, but he LOVES El Dorado and hated all Disney save for Mulan and Aladdin. So he said I was imagining it because I wanted him to like Atlantis. My family is weird. And thanks for choosing my quote! I didn’t expect that, as I’m not the best movie reviewer.
Thanks, EJE. Most people don’t like her, which is likely why she isn;t official and indirectly why I can’t find a cheap doll of her. I still don’t know why most people I talk to dislike her, but whatever. Opinion is opinion, and opinion differs.
Yes, Stephen’s charcater in MvA was the only good part of that movie, IMO. I’ve been a big fan of him for years!
DingDingDing! You’ve discovered my new sig theme, since I’m done with the Princesses. Brazilian Ze Carioca comic covers! I’m not doing ALL the covers, because the comcis have been published weekly since 1961 and there’s over 1200 of them, so just my favorites will be featured.
As for if they’re online. Every single cover is online, and there are a couple pages from each issue online. I’ve been translating, and I’ve picked up a bit of Portuguese! I really like these comics, but they’re virtually impossible to get outside of Brazil sadly.
But basically they’re about Ze’s life in his neighborhood of Vila Xurpita in Rio de Janeiro. Ze gets his money by being a con man and tricking people, has little respect for woman, and he’s the President of his neighborhood Soccer Club and Samba School, and he’s arch enemies are ANACOZECA, which stands for “National Association of Ze Carioca Debt Collectors”.
