EJE: I didnāt know there were three movies! And I watched the 2012 one without having read the book nor seen the musical. My secondary school once staged it, but I didnāt watch it. They did some previews during assembly, though, so Iām familiar with a few of the songs, but didnāt know their significance in context.
What movieās DVD/Blu-Ray was this interview or behind-the-scenes feature on? Haha, I have a confession to make: I donāt own a single Pixar movie on home video! Well, okay, maybe a bootleg VCD of A Bugās Life, but I wouldnāt know where to find it!
ā¦
LQstudiesPixarās Big Bang Theory sig is wicked, my bro is a huge fan of the show. I myself have watched a few episodes and it really is made for geeks and geeks-at-heart. Sheldon is truly elite-level nerd stuff, and yeah, I saw the ābazingaā ball-pit scene, itās one of my favourites! Even a worker at my former company loves to quote Sheldonās catchword on FB!
Also Baliboiās slap-happy Kermit really cracked me up!
It is time that update my signature once again. This time, Iām using a little favorite I made a while ago. It is yet another in-joke of mine, this time connecting Sokkaās personality with the awkwardness of Linguini. I love that part so much (in Ratatouille).
And just as a heads up, I have a new link in my siggie. See if you can find it!
Thereās actually over 50 movies (Not including animated versions and TV adaptions). Iāve only seen 3 of them. The newest movie is the only one based off the musical, however.
The other two I saw were the one made a few years ago with Liam Neeson as Valjean. I also saw one of the American versions from the 1930s, with Charles Laughton as Javert.
Iām sorry to say I donāt have the source, which angers me to no end. But Iād bet money that this is the truth!
TDIT: Yes-sir-ee! Geoffrey Rush and Liam Neeson. I must say, itās a good movie. (What bothers me about it is that they cut out Eponineās character). But those two did well together!
My favourite Laughton film, I will point out even though no one asked, is Mutiny on the Bounty.
As for the record of Film Adaptions, Iām not sure! Iām guessing that A Christmas Carol has to be on the list of top 10.
Probably his best ever performance. But I guess, overall, my favourite film with him on the cast would be Witness for the Prosecution.
About the record of adaptations, to my knowledge, itās headlined by Sherlock Holmes, followed by Dracula. Of course most of those films arenāt very faithful to the source, as Les Miserables or A Christmas Carol sometimes are.
PS: I just became aware of what thread this is. Weāre possibly straying a little off topic
Shoutouts to the awesome sigs of TDIT, JSWeC, and Ballboi! Two insanely entertaining animations and a hillarious Avatar/Ratatouille crossover! Nice choices!
Thanks for the compliment, Violet Parr! You know, the art I used is from an upcoming videogame, Disney Infinity. And The Incredibles are playable charries! Even Rick Dicker! The trailerās up on the Disney websiteās homepage if you want to check it out! Just thought you might want to knowā¦ makes me happy to see The Incredibles getting some screentime again!
ellie-jessie-eve- Thank you, Ellie. I really appreciate that. Though, part of me feels that itās for-not . I just hope it can still happen.
ObsessedWithPixar- No problem ! And, I know! I will need to check it out on the Disney website. But it looks awesome! I saw your sig and was wondering if thatās what it was from .
