here we can discuss on what the character might be ( a
robot? an alien?) and speculate on the storyline for the movie.

Well, here is my theory:
Story/Plot - Possibly centered on an alien or an alien race somewhere in
another galaxy or solar system.
Characters - Aliens; various other creatures
that resemble small life forms (amoebas, etc.) and the like.
I really hope
that the setting for WALL-E takes place in outer space, in any rate. Pixar + science = my cup of tea. ![]()
Rumors have been going around the site. Many believe that he is a robot.
I hope Pixar does an alien thing too, even though it’s been done before, Pixar shall put a "Pixar
Twist" in it, like… Oh I don’t know, an Alien Invasion in reverse? where aliens are under attack
and WE are the technologically advanced invaders?
Nice idea, Googly-Bear! Knowing Pixar, they will put some sort of interesting
twist in it, as you said. They’d probably want us to empathize more with the aliens/robots than the humans
themselves.
The Star Swordsman - A robot, eh? I’m trying to imagine what a
robot would look like in the hands of Pixar; I’m sure they would make it intriguing.
Googly-Bear - Haha – that would be interesting. Knowing Pixar, they would
probably do something like that. If that is, indeed, the case, I smell a “friendship/truce” situation
arising (ie., an alien and a human child meet and become companions, then try to stop their colonies/races from
creating a war).
Thanks LizardGirl!
I’ve been harboring that idea for years XD
yeah, it sure won’t be your average Si-Fi adventour.
Maybe Wall-E looks like the “THX Robot”.
JV - Haha – yeah, I never thought of that! Too bad Pixar couldn’t use that guy
for their film; and even if they could, they’d have to pay Mr. Lucas a pretty big fee… ![]()
Nah –
they’ll probably just come up with their own, unique style.
I think Wall-e is going to be something Pixar hasn’t ackled yet. Now think. THey have done
fish, bugs, monsters, cars, and Super Heroes. Anything they haven’t done yet?
The Star Swordsman - Yes: aliens. You forgot to mention that they
have done rats, as well. ![]()
They also haven’t done rollercoasters. Now that
would be interesting…
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL That would
be cool.
I just thought of something else: Pixar has never done a film about
dinosaurs. Now there is something I would pay big money
to see… ![]()
Some people around here have speculated that WALL-E is a nickname/codename for the
Toy Story 3 production. I highly doubt it, but you never know. I still hold true to
my opinion that WALL-E is about aliens…

hhhmmm, an intergalactic
version of “The West Side Story”
now THERE’s an idea.

Well, Lifted wiil be
about an alien, so that can’t be it. I think the most likely cadidate so far is with him being a robot, but
we’ll never know until we actually go and see the film.
About Lifted being about
an alien, that all it took to convice me that the chances of Wall-e being be about aliens very low.
But it makes the chances high that it will be something mechanical like a
robot. Remember - Pixar does shorts to see how something looks on the screen for a movie. =)
Dash - Yes, my thoughts exactly. It may be an insight into what
Pixar will release in the cinemas in the future. Robots or aliens – I really don’t care now, as long as it
takes place in outer space. ![]()
Dash, you stole that from me. ![]()
I once said the same thing and you
disagreed. ![]()
I wonder if it is going to be about robots in space in another dimension.
