That would be so awesome, at the ending of the movie it kind of makes you think that there will be a squeal. <3
Till that fateful day comes… we can only hope.

Who wouldn’t?! Seriously The Incredibles is by far my absolute favorite Pixar movie, and the universe of The Incredibles is so amazing that it would just be a pleasure to get too see future films play in that era.
The Incredibles deserve a sequel and need one, it’s got such huge requests for a sequel and I just pray that after 1906 Mr. Bird will go back to animation for the sequel of one of his greatest movies ever!
And let us hope that this will also mean a return for Mr. Giacchino, and his amazing score for The Incredibles will get to be continued, that’s the way it should be!
Pixar give us the sequel we most desire, The Incredibles 2
I have been wait6ing for one for 5 years, and if they made a bad one with bad plot or replaced actors, I would kill myself. But, if they could make one as good oe better, as Brad Bird said on the issue, this would make me so happy, I don’t know what would happen.
At least we know that if Brad Bird does decide to make another one, we can be assured that he will try to exceed every expectation.
I very much want an Incredibles 2, the great thing about superheroes is that they can last a very long time!
The Incredibles to me is an instant candidate for sequel treatment (after all that ending with The Underminer was practically asking for one). There are so many endless possibilities for a world of superheroes, but the family aspect of the movie should continue to be the most important thing. At least I heard Brad Bird said he would do it if he had a good enough idea for a story.
As for the issue of the villain: Syndrome is obviously dead so maybe Brad could go back to that villain he originally wanted to use named Xerek, and of course throw in a short Underminer fight at the beginning for continuity and to keep John Ratzenberger in as well.
Hmm… I’m kind of neutral about it.
I think they should because it was a really good movie and I liked it a lot (though it’s not my favorite Pixar film). The characters are great and the plot was carried out extremely well. They were original on many points and facts about the movie, and it left you wanting more.
But I also don’t think they should. Because, they would have to come up with a lot of more material to make it as dazzling as the first one was. I mean, super-heros do the same thing all the time: they rescue people, save the town, battle the bad guys, and earn the glory. But making more and more movies about them would eventually take the sparkle out of the original one.
So… I haven’t made up my mind yet. I guess Pixar will have to by making a sequel or not making a sequel.
it would be pretty cool
I would give anything for it.
It would be an epic movie. The Incredibles was great, so I know that PIXAR could do another one that would be just as good or a lot better.
If they decide to do another one. it doesn’t seem likely in the next couple of years I think.
Supervillains come back from the “dead” all the time in comic books, but I have to admit that his return would probably either be a deus ex machina or Angst-Fest 2014 (or whenever it comes out). I’d love to see him come back… none of my relatives will because I’ll be going on about it for ages, and I have to say I won’t enjoy a sequel too much unless they have the return of my favorite villain.
Something centered more on the kids would be really nice, though.
Tell me about it ! I’d also like to see Syndrome come back. But it’s not a necessity for me. I’d just love to see more of Violet… But, yeah, I think almost 9/10 people want an Incredibles 2.
I think my biggest wish for a TI 2 is more VIolet.
Using some of the comics material would be nice. Heck, get Mark Waid to lend a hand in story development.
I would love to see another Incredibles movie
I always thought that would neat… having the entire Incredibles family working together in a super-hero friendly world… and maybe they could start of right where they left with the Underminer.
I was thinking about an Incredibles sequel the other day actually. If any of these ideas have already been stated, I apologize as I didn’t read the other pages of this thread.
I thought starting off with the Underminer would be too predictable…and didn’t they base a video game off that premise, anyway?
I think since Toy Story 3 set a good example of setting sequels later in the future, Incredibles 2 would work if everyone had aged. Jack Jack could be a toddler, Dash as Violet’s age in the first film, and Violet in high school. In regards to a plot, although a villain-run sort of story would easily work (I thought a female villain would be interesting, for a change), the second could focus more on conflicts of being a hero at all. The first movie idealized the superhero concept but didn’t really touch on any negative conflicts of being one.
I read a lot of comic books back in the day so these ideas are kind of where I’m coming from. I was thinking maybe Bob and Helen’s age start to catch up to them even more and realize they’re not as young as they once were, and maybe Violet can’t handle the stress of a double-life and hangs up her costume. High school’s tough, and it’d make for interesting characterization for Violet (or any of them really) to voluntarily quit. It seemed that no characters had trouble maintaining their secret identities (the government allowed for their anonymity), so maybe (in the vein of the first Spiderman, or the Dark Knight films) one of their secret identities get out.
To add, I’m all for original Pixar films and honestly would question if they decide to do another sequel but heck, I’m all for Incredibles 2.
I feel incredibles is the pixar most worthy of a sequel. There superheros, there are a whole leagues of things you can do with this family. But, the Underminer should not be the villain. A sequel with him as the villain would seem unoriginal, as he was made just for an end of movie joke, not for a villain for a entire movie, and besides, he is not developed at all.
Personally, I do too. I don’t think they’d make the Underminer the villain, after all they already covered his story in Rise of the Underminer. There wouldn’t be much of a point in doing a movie about it. From what I’ve gathered, most people want more expansion on the kids and who they could grow up to be, but naturally Bob and Helen would still have to be around. Personally, I really like my idea of an amnesiac Buddy lending a hand, but maybe that’s just me.
