I live in Southern
California, but I ain’t gotta say which city I reside in…simply for privacy reasons. ![]()
Usually it’s
burning down here in the summer (it gets up to 120F degrees in some places…),
windy in the autumn, either freezing or moderately warm in the winter, and average (slightly cool/warm) in the
spring. We hardly ever get rain, but when we do it’s like a gift from the heavens. (snigger)
I agree. I wish
we had normal rain. Rain in spring, Sunny in SUmmer, Windy and falling leaves in fall, snow in winter.
I should direct Dash to
this thread because he’s a weather geek. He’ll have an explanation for the Spring
freeze.
~~=oP
Funny thing…Yesterday we had a SNOW DAY…yup. Anyway, I was
happy! Anything to get outta school ![]()
It was 90F in yesterday and it is
90F right now in Orlando.
Were you refering to Mitch?
Bill - If you are referring to me, I don’t exactly live
that close to Pixar – more like two to five days away I surmise (maybe a week).
Still, I guess that’s a good thing should I ever get a job at the place; I’ll only be a few days away from it!
![]()
I might be keeping this Off-Topic, but you can travel across the county (in a car) in a week.
![]()
Oh yeah! Haha – I guess I should study up on my geography. Thanks for reminding me,
Gasduude! ![]()
Well then, I guess it would take me seven hours to a couple
of days at most. Even closer than I thought! But really, I’ll have to look it up on the map and estimate. Heheh.
![]()
I asked if he was referring to Mitch cause I assumed Mitch was a guy, just like I
assumed Carfreak was a guy. I guess I assumed wrong.
And yes you can drive across the country in a week.
I am about to atempt that at the end of June.
aZnCdn - Haha – everybody thinks I’m a guy. I don’t mind at all. ![]()
Weather over here is still going up and down constantly: hot and blazing one day; cold and freezing the
next. I’d prefer the cold and freezing part…as long as the temperature doesn’t get below 50F. (snigger)
Wow you could have fooled me.
Summer is
defintley here in Florida, had to turn the A/C on in the house today ![]()
This is something I
have to say on the part of this thread. But I never thought someone would actually start a thread like this about
weather, as I thought most if not all of everyone here had 0% or very near that
percentage of interest in that kind of thing.
Here where I live, South Tejas
weather can be quite unpredictable. Usually in the summer its hot. But the heat is a wet type especially because
I live very close or right next to the coastline, where humidity is always high throughout the entire season. The
feel of Autumn and Spring is typically very short around here. Winter and Summer oftenly come around here
suddenly. So temps around can dip easily from hot to cold in a matter of weeks or a few days. My city is oftenly
known as the “windy city” because wind is very common here especially in the spring and fall months,
and its usually the Gulf one as well from the southeast.
As of right now, its appears it may turn out to be
another wild year here. Temperas been going up and down the past few weeks. And last weekend we dipped down into
the very low 40s or 10 C which is somewhat unusual for this time of year, but not by much. Last month the area
was pounded by two big rounds of storms and both of them happened around the time of my week long break which
many people around this side of the world tend call it “Spring Break”. I see that next month could
become quite active around here storm wise. And then also a possible threat of cyclonic storms Hurricanes later
this summer.
I’ am pretty much a weather junkie and a starter at meteorology. I can be talking on this
kind of subject for hours, as this is the career i’m aiming to take for when entering college/university next
session after summer of this year (Of course, basics first of all).
I see the leader of PP also has an
interest in it as well. I believe Dash likes to see hurricanes but I could be wrong
about it as his favorite weather thing.
aZnCdn:
?Jaja!
you asummed
Mitch was a guy; ?eh?
No worries man, I also thought of Her *And to let her
also know now too*, when I joined this community and saw the first reply post She made to me here, a guy as
well.
I guess Mitch tricked us both on that, since she likes to snigger everyone
here on silly things XD.
Few people here also thought I was a girl, based on a few posts on my first
thread I started some weeks ago, and then when I had joined, likely because of my username and maybe my
image.
But nope, am proud (not actually) to be a
guy.
Mitch:
Please don’t despise (or
shoot) me of using your thing
.
Only wanted to show the sillyness you have for the community here and all
of us
.

Haha – no sweat! I wouldn’t be mad at a little thing like that at all.
Actualy, I thought it was pretty funny. (snigger) ![]()
Hmm, I think the weird weather is spreading all over the
world. We had a major warm spell here- we’re experiencing weather in April that really should be occurring in
August (if we’re lucky). It’s seriously humid, which is really quite unheard of in England at this time of
year. Strange.
Well, the weather is
certainly better over here! Wer’e supposed to get 50-50+ degree weather for the whole week! Now that’s more
like it!!! ![]()
I showed this thread to Dash.
“You can tell them they’re gonna get a global warming lecture when I get back.”
![]()
~~=oP
Yeah, our geography teacher today was talking
about how global warming was definitely what was causing this scary heat wave. It’s strange, because until you
actually experience it, you sort of ignore what is said about it all because you figure that there’s not much as
an individual that you can do.
lizardgirl:
Well, many people in the world today are beginning to do more damage to the enviroment and the earth’s atmosphere. More then it had been to an extent 10-20 years ago.
But am still not convinced that it’s necessarily and entirely Global Warming, especially as many leaders in the USA believe it is.
Here north of the Equator and in the Western Hemisphere, we had an active tropical storm season during summer 2005. But last year in summer 2006, there was barely anything that was out there especially in the Atlantic Ocean.
There are many other factors in the world that are accounting to these unusual events too, and not only GW.
But if people want to continue to hurt the enviroments more with many of the modern things we use today, and damage the ozone more, let them. Eventually the consequences will come for all those who chose not to reduce their pollution, and so forth.
But if I may ask ya, how warm does it often become in the summer over their in England?
I’m sure it would not be much by hot. Or is it?
Well, it’s sorta warm today. The tortoises are out on the porch, so it can’t be cold.
I’ll bet it’ll be cold tomorrow though. =P I hate global warming.
I can only hope I spend some time at Pixar Animation Studios before the world ends. ^_^;
