I?m not that big of a
baseball fan my self (My favorite team is the Houston Astros) but I always like watching the World Series. I will
be rooting for the Detroit Tigers because they have one of my favorite
players on there team.[/b]

By the way, that was an amazing game tonight against the
Mets. It was 1-1 for so long… I was freaking out! It was just incredible. 
I confess, I must vote for
the Tigers, because I’m a proud Michigander, and I’m so proud of them for not only not sucking for once, but
doing really freaking awesome.
C’mon, Tigers. You made it this far, you can make it all the way!
I really don’t follow baseball. But I chose the Cards for two reasons. One: I don’t care, just a random
choice. Two: I like Albert Pujols a little. I like to watch great hitters.
Yeah, I’m not that big a
baseball fan, either, but I’m rooting for the Tigers, mainly just because of Verlander, since I live in the same
county he lived in (or went to high school in, at any rate, so I’m assuming he lived here). 
On a
semi-related note, I feel really dumb because I missed a question on an extra-credit current events quiz in
history today by saying that the two teams in the World Series were the Detroit Tigers and the
Arizona Cardinals. 
I told you I wasn’t a baseball fan. I felt dumb, but at
least it was just extra credit.

I’m not going to be able to see any of the World Series this year (or next; if
the Giants make it in next year by some miracle, I think I’ll cry), and I don’t really care about either team,
so it’s no big deal for me…

Yeah - not really big on this years choices for the WS.
Being from Florida of course I
have to go with my local spring training teams which would be the Twins and the BoSox. I was extatic when they
finally won. I also like the Marlins (being from FL), the Rangers (since they used to train nearby and I love
TX), the Phillies (because the used to train here in the great Connie Mack days - love me some Connie), and the
Indians bcause they used to train here too. I’m actually super excited because my hometown of Cape Coral is
trying to bring the Indians back to the area. If the deal goes through then they will build the stadium just a
few blocks from my house and it will be visible from my bedroom window!
Of the two WS teams though I’m
kinda torn. As I said no favs or big rivals of favs, but my dad is from Michigan but then again I kinda became
parshel to St. Louis watching all those nights waiting for Mark McGuire to break the home run record. It really
is a tough choice.
Okay, my mind is set.
I’m going to cheer for the cards now.

I watched the game on
the MLB website at the same time as watching The Empire Strikes Back with my friends. It was very, very
exciting.
