Would you like to see Pixar and Dreamworks work together?

It’s not that I hate DreamWorks, but I imagine Pixar and DreamWorks are like mortal enemies.

Well actually, John Lasseter and Jeffrey Katzenberg are friends, well at least I think they were until the whole A Bug’s Life/Antz feud broke out:

I don’t hate Dreamworks. I’m generally not that fond of them as a studio, but I don’t picture them and Pixar as being “mortal enemies”. In fact, from my understanding, there are quite a few friends between DW and PIXAR.

The individuals in the animation community are very friendly with one another. Most of them are against the whole “arch rivals” image that it seems like the studios give off. Maybe some of the big CEOs may express that, but certainly not the artists.

I love it when Virginia uses photos, but not when they’re up close pics of J Katz.

Yeah, sorry about that. :-D) You shall listen to my jedi mind powers and forgive me. Here’s your sorry gift.

Anyway, I hope DW and Pixar never come together in any way. I want DW to be drug into the ground, so Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois might make some Pixar movies, as I figure them working at the big D again is out of the question.

Even though I don’t think Dreamworks and Pixar working together would be a good idea, something came to mind.
Anyone here see Who Framed Roger Rabbit? That was only part Disney. Disney and Warner Brothers worked together on that. They’re competitors of cartoons, though. Seeing two companies work together to make a movie actually isn’t that bad. That movie turned out really fun. And just because they cooperated on that doesn’t mean they merged from then on. They went on their own separate paths after that, I think.
However, I still don’t think I could imagine what kind of movie Dreamworks and Pixar could cooperate on, considering that they do have different styles and ideas of what makes a good movie, you know. But maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as we think.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is such a good movie!

It was so cool seeing Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse together.

I don’t think Pixar and Dreamworks could ever pull of something like that. Like you said, they both have different ideas about what makes a good movie.

I love WFRR!! However, DWXPixar still sounds crappy to me…

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a goodie  I should see it again some time.

“IT’S DIIIIIIPPPPPPP!!!”

I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but if Dreamworks and Pixar were to do something like that I think DWA would want to add a lot of pop culture references and it just wouldn’t work out.

I think DW and Pixar could make an awesome movie together. Now before I’m flamed to death, think about it. DW’s humor and Pixar’s storytelling qualities. And their amazing animation combined.

Actually, DW’s humor varies among people (though I think I’m one of the few who actually like it :stuck_out_tongue: )

I, too, think it’s a great idea. DW has amazing fighting sequences (eg Monsters vs Aliens, How To Train Your Dragon) and that’s something I, personally, feel PIxar lacks. But, as said, Pixar is fantastic at storytelling.

It’d be interesting but seeing as D/P pulled out of the Annies clearly shows their hatred and disapproval of DW. So, I highly doubt it would happen.

We’ve already gotten fart jokes in Cars and FN. I don’t want more fart jokes.

Virginia: Aw, I love that sorry gift! It’s my favorite pic of WALL-E and EVE!

Who Framed Rabbit is an amazingly awesome movie.

And I agree with Virginia, fart jokes are lame!

I’m not going to lie, when I saw that no farting sign I laughed for about 5 minutes. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

Alright I gotta admit, those jokes involving bodily functions are lame and pointless. Squicky and cringe-y.
(that’s why I loved HTTYD - not a fart joke in SIGHT! WOOHOO!~)

(the only time I laughed about poop was during the Great Mighty Poo fight in Conker’s Bad Fur Day. But then, this isn’t normal dung that we’re talking about.)

I should’ve worded my sentence a bit better. Ugh. Fail on my part, sorry. Um.

Dreamworks’ animation combined with Pixar’s, then?
Nah, I think it’ll work better if they just do their own thing independently.

I’m glad you guys like the pictures. :sunglasses:

That picture amuses me all too much… :-D)

Although, yes, normally I consider fart jokes lame.

I think Pixar is definetly superior in humor if anytihng…Shrek and Kung-Fu Panda made me laugh a couple of times, but not much anymore. Yet I still crack up at Mrs. Nesbit!
