Wreck-It Ralph

Enough with all the teases and pics! I want to see an actual trailer! I get more hyped for this movie every time something new pops up!

I see a full trailer coming in May. Maybe June.

There’ll almost certainly be a trailer with Brave

Most likely with Brave.

And after seeing a picture of the actress who plays the lead character, I am even more against this than ever. She looks like someone I hate at my unviersity. I know that the chances of them being related are slim, but they are too similar in appearance for me to stand it. And yes, only her voice will be heard in this film, but if she sounds like the person I know, I will want to take a hammer and throw it at the screen.

Whoa now, calm down. Why do you happen to hate this person at your university so much anyway? Especially if, as you said, it’s only a voice role.

With no trailer or marketing yet, I think this will be another underperformer. If it does, Disney might can any ambitious projects.

Lover of Fiction, do excuse me for being a bit harsh, but that sounds like an extremely silly reason to hate a movie (that isn’t even released yet). Really, I’m sorry to say this, but the negativity you’ve been spreading around these forums upsets me a bit.

Moving on…

I’m so excited for this movie. Like, really excited. You don’t even know. But then, I love video games, so yeah. I just find it mind-boggling that they actually managed to use Nintendo characters!

Yeah! Where’s a teaser? I would hardly wait until early summer to release such a thing. I would venture to say that most people are unaware of this film’s existence.

Yeah. It isn’t really a step in the right direction so far.

I say that Disney missed out on a golden opportunity releasing the trailer before The Avengers. Pretty much if it isn’t released before Brave, it’s bound to flop. Who knows?

They do have bad marketing skills. I guess they have high hopes for Brave.

Yeah, but why can’t they market their films like the Pixar ones.

I guess they know their not as good as their were 15 years ago. I think there starting to come back though. But with flops like HOTR and Chicken Little, and successful films like The Incredibles and Fidning Nemo, they know they lost fans.

Yeah, but I wonder with M.T. Carney (Former Head of the Marketing Department) leaving Disney if they’ll know how to market films. Bolt and Princess and the Frog could of been hits if it wasn’t for poor marketing and relesase dates. Same can be said about Winnie the Pooh. Tangled was a surprise hit since the marketing for that film was aggressive. Anyway, I feel kind of mad that we don’t have a teaser for Wreck-It Ralph yet. I’m just afraid they’ll wait until late in the game to relesase one.

I think this one looks really cool! Making a movie about video games and all of their many mediums is an extremely unique idea! I also love the idea of a villian becoming a good guy (part of the reason I still want to see MegaMind and Despicable Me). I’ll be excited to see a trailer for this one! The only thing is that… well… for some reason, I feel like Pixar ought to have made this film first! :stuck_out_tongue: No offense Disney… I love you! It’s just that the idea is so outside of the norm for animated films that it seems like Pixar would most likely’ve come up with Wreck-It Ralph. But then again… you’d think that Disney would most likely have come up with Brave! I guess both awesome companies are trying out some new styles! So don’t judge a movie by its poster

Here’s hoping Wreck-It Ralph repeats Tangled’s success and is another homerun for WDAS.

I’m really trying to be optimistic about this one. I’m a casual gamer (plus have attended some video game cons) so I am pretty familiar with the medium. I think that if done right, maturely and stylistically it could be incredible–like, as previously said, Roger Rabbit. It would be really cool to see a bunch of video game characters interacting (Sora, please!). But if done wrong, the results could be…well, just another loud, pop-culture referencing childish train-wreck. And by God, you’d think after Treasure Planet they’d have learned their lesson on marketing…and that was a decade ago!

Disney Animation’s Twitter account says that the trailer will debut on June 6.

The trailer was in front of Toy Story 3 today that I saw at AMC as part of the AMC Pixar weekend! Needless to say it was awesome!! This movie is going to be incredible and hilarious!
