Anyone else think they should have a version of it when Buzz and Woody sing it. They are best friends and the older verion I think is supplosed to remsemble them. The only preblem I see is if Buzz ans sing, I can’y see Tim Allen as a great singer.
And I don’t think Tom Hanks would do it because he sang in TS2, even though the first thing he said to the TS crew was, “You’re not gonna make me sing?”
I wonder what the song was that he mentions in his pull-string phrase. Though it’s most likely “Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie.”
Anyways, I love the idea, but I just don’t see how it would fit in. Still, it would be cool to see if they could do anything in the future.
No, its borderline overused anyway. Besides that I usually think of Andy and woody, not Buzz.
Everytime it’s been used it’s been meaningful to me, it never loses it’s effect. I think it applies to Buzz and Woody more near the end of the first film, but it represents the bond between Woody and Andy in TS2, and the same in TS3
It would make total sense to have the two sing the song together, since it basically is their song.
But it reminds me too much of something that would happen in a Disney musical. I love Disney musicals, you know the ones where the characters break out in song. But Pixar specifically didn’ want Toy Story to be like all of the Disney movies back in he day, because they wanted to distinguish themselves. If the two had sung together in the third one, it would seem out of place.
I did say boarderline, so I’m fine with all the uses so far. but I can’t imagine this scenario working with whats already in the film.
Buzz and Woody actually do a sing a few lines of the song in the “100 Years of Magic” Disney on Ice show. And it’s really weird. Just doesn’t feel right to hear them singing like that. And given how awkward that felt in an ice show, I can’t think it would be better in a movie.
The closest was when Woody sings it in the Woody’s Roundup scene on the ukulele (thought the sound was a guitar) and Buzz overhears it and gives a sigh. It’d be so cheesy if they both broke into song, and would really dumb down the meaning.
The only minor shot at it I miiiight like is if they did it like “If I Didn’t Have You” with Monsters, Inc. John Goodman and Billy Crystal sang it, in character, but it didn’t appear in the film, only in credits.

Hmm…that’s a thought! That actually sounds better than if we saw them singing! In my opinion at least.
I could’ve seen this done for the ending credits like how Monsters Inc. ended with Mike and Sully singing together. On the other hand, it may have been a little predictable and I don’t think Pixar likes being predictable

The idea of having Buzz and Woody sing it is good, but a little bit cheesy.
Nah, the remix version was fun as a Toy Story Double Feature promo and in one of the Toy Story 3 trailers, but as part of the movie I don’t see how it could be as meaningful.
Personally, I really really enjoyed the Gypsy King’s “Hay Un Amigo En Mi” and felt it was a refreshing take on the old classic. It was a great throwback to the “Buzz gets turned Spanish and falls in love with Jessie” subplot, and it was hilarious to see them do Pasa Doble in the end credits.

Personally, I don’t think Pixar could have done any better than they already have with the music ensembles for TS3, or anything else in general. If Woody and Buzz DID actually do something like that, I agree that it would be cute yet unbelievably cheesy.
If I say anything else, I’m only going to end up repeating what everyone else has already said, thus I’ll close by saying that Pixarians don’t like cheese. Yes, I can be random like that.

It’s not exactly a ‘‘trailer’’ rather than a kind of internet promo.
Personally, I was kind of ticked that they used the Spanish version instead of the original to end the series. To me it didn’t feel like a meaningful way to end such an emotional movie.

Yeah, I loved the Spanish version. 
I really did like how YGAFIM was used in the beginning.
