You know what really grinds my gears?

I know what you mean, WBoon. Today I was trying to make one of those “(insert movie here) in 5 seconds” videos, and Windows Movie Maker keeps acting funny. I try to preview my work but it just has the sound and no video. It really grinds my gears.

Pewpewpew5522: Yes, is does have its latency issues, but Windows Movie Maker, with its simplicity, also lacks the many bugs complex video editing programs possess, thus shining its flair from among the cynical reviews about it. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you just need to reduce your lag through one way or another, then give it another boost.

peopel ranting on about groups of people with no first-hand evidence.

It annoys me when my mum moves my stuff around and then I spend half an hour looking for it, when she knows where it is. She calls it ‘tidying up’. I call it ‘annoying’. :stuck_out_tongue:

What annoys me is when I first got my computer, I only use one program to make a music video: Windows Movie Maker. Now, I gotta have 4 prograams playing at the same time to ensure quality.

What grinds my gears is that I copied my movie files instead of moving them. Now, I have two sets of movie files to take up double the space. x_x I delete them as I finish videos and re-upload by moving but … now, I can’t just re-upload or my movies that are still in the making process will become invalid. :stuck_out_tongue: And my computer will not stop whining about space, even though I just got two CDs full of files out of here. x_x

the reason it won’t stop whinig is because it has to render things

No, it’s because I’ve been keeping loads of useless files. :stuck_out_tongue:

What grinds my gears right now is how complex Photoshop programs are, unlike the Corel VideoStudios editing program which has more direct commands for you to control.

I think it’d be better for Adobe to upgrade it so that both professionals and newbies like me are able to comprehend all the capabilities of the Photoshop program - starting with the Premier Pro CS4 I’m trialing. :stuck_out_tongue:

What grinds MY gears right now is the fact that my parents hide my presents in the same place every year. Being the tween girl I am, I can’t help my self but look, so I never get a surprise on Christmas.

I hate it when I play a video game that I haven’t played in a while and my little brother asks if he can play the next level. Then he won’t stop asking until I let him. Then he doesn’t want to stop playing. It really grinds my gears!

I hate it when your watching a movie and someone keeps saying stuff like “oh, watch this” and “this part’s funny” as if I wasn’t already paying attention.

What grinds MY gears last night is the fact that the boy I like left my elementary school a year before me (he’s a year older) and even though we knew each other pretty well in elementary school, in our middle school he acts like I don’t exist. I even said hi to him once and complimented his work in a play he was just in and he looked at me for a second and then looked away like he didn’t know who I was. Eighth graders are such snobs! We’re only a year younger but they can’t stop calling us “sevie” and acting like they are so much better than us, though I like to put it they way a girl in my chorus did:

“Shut up, 'cause I’m only a year younger and could kick your a** any day.” (she didn’t actually say this to an eighth grader)

I have a similar problem, Rac_Rules. What bothers me is that I see people who are only one or two grades older than sixth-graders act as if the “sixlets” are kindergarteners. I mean, just one-two years ago, they were just like them! :unamused:

What grinds my gear right now? Some Christmas songs on the radio are being overplayed.

Along the same lines, TSS, what grinds my gears is that because of that stupid TV show, The X Factor, there are never any good Christmas Number Ones anymore, as it’s always just whatever song the winner sings! I hope this annoying trend doesn’t continue this year, though it probably will.

Two words: Disney Channel.
Or should I say three words: Modern Disney Channel.
Or how about, to be more specific: Modern Disney Channel removing animated tv series and pushing some of their good old stuff to the early AMs? Sigh, my family and friends hear me pout more and more about that every day.

Teachers who think that their subject is the only one that matters.

Teachers who think that giving us unreasonable amounts of homework does us any good at all.

Teachers who don’t care about using our time because they don’t want to give up theirs. (AKA making us miss a pizza party we worked hard to win because she made a test so long she knew we weren’t going to finish it in the period)

People who are stupid.

People who talk about things they know nothing about.

Rac_Rules: A teacher that makes you miss the pizza party you deserve for a postpone-able test? That sounds unfair.

What grinds my gears right now is that in order to remove a virus, I had clear out everything on the computer, and so I did, and saved my precious files on a USB. I checked and double-checked and triple-checked- and they were all there. But after the computer had been cleared and it was safe to put the files back in it again, my powerpoints were all gone, including my memorable, very first one that was dedicated to Pixar.
And if that’s not enough, I didn’t realize that programs such as Windows Movie Maker would have also been cleared in the process. So now, in order to recover my projects done there, I have to search for the right version to download. And there are quite a few versions out there, and only one version will be the kind that can recover my past projects. sighs Okay, probably no one’s reading this anyway, and if you are, I guess I’m boring you. I’m just ranting here, feel free to ignore…

I read it, bdd. I’m sorry that you lost your files. That’s never fun. That’s weird that they vanished from your USB though.

The thing that is grinding my gears right now is actually pretty trivial. But I let my brother used my white macbook while I was home and he kept jabbing at the trackpad. You don’t have press hard! A light touch does the trick! Anyway, now my trackpad is discolored from his greasy fingers jamming into it and nothing I’ve used works to clean it off. I’m a perfectionist, so having this weird discolored spot on my otherwise white macbook is a little discomforting. Like I said, trivial.
