This grinds my gears beyond all perception. ![]()
^ Aw, why Virginia? That actually kinda made my whole life complete!
It did for most people, I’d bet. I’m just tired of hearing about HP and how much everyone loves it all the time. It’s like Twilight or something! Gosh, for 5 minutes free of Harry Potter. I would give almost anything.
That’s exactly how I feel!!
Once again, you’ve made an unfair comparison.
I mean, I can see how some people can get tired of it. I’m sick and tired of hearing about Twilight, but in my opinion Twilight has no quality whatsoever. Harry Potter is to me almost the defining item of our generation
It is so thought provoking, and well written, and beautiful in every way which Twilight isn’t. If you gave it a try I’m sure you’d see what all the fuss is about
(But read the books first) And you’ll get your HP-free moments soon, with this last movie out I’m sure all the top news about it is going to die away, and that’s why I’m so upset. I’ll miss it being this big.
Yes! So I’m not alone.
And let me point something out. I have not read the HP books, or the horrid Twilight books. However, I have seen all the HP movies, except the new one, and 3 of thew Twilight movies. I’m complaining on the movies, not the books. I don’t care about the books.
^ If you’ve seen them then I give you props for complaining. Lots of people complaing about Twilight for instance and they haven’t even seen it/read them. Once you see the last one though I’m sure you’ll understand why everyone’s so wrapped up in it. There’s never been anything like it before
Still, I doubt she would like it.
Just out of curiosity, do you like it, Spirit? I’ll see it in theaters, because my dad is taking us because my sister wants to see it.
I honestly don’t even hate the movies. I just get so tired of everyone being so obsessed, that my annoyment with the fandom became resentment for the movies themselves.
My opinion is irrelevant. It’s a great film but I will never love it because I love the books far to much to like any kind of unfaithful adaptation.
Also, aren’t you obsessed about a lot of thing? I remember that you said, in this very board, that you’re annoyed when people dislike things purposely just because others love it. That’s what you do with Harry Potter. Not that there’s anything bad about it, but it’s interesting to point out.
I guess that’s true. But I really just wish it wasn’t all over the place all the time. It makes my skin crawl. If my obsessions annoy people this badly, then I might get rid of myself. My sister, most of the people at my school… I just can’t take anymore! It’s so annoying.
Headaches really grind my gears, especially if I’'m doing something fun or something I love.

Same here, I’ve had one since I woke up and it makes me just want to be still and not do anything at all. ![]()
Hate headaches.
I’m sorry to hear that you feel that way Virginia. I personally love Master HP.
Took a while to read from page 1 but I did it…You know what grinds my gears and a lot of you do it so I do not mean to offend when people do those virtual hug things…I see no reason for it hugs
The hug is for anyone I offend.

Whoa! You read all 100+ pages?
Sure did I kind of have a ritual when ever I go to a new thread I have to Read every page before I post.I do not want to miss anything I guess…
You read all of that?! Wow, that is dedication right there! Sometimes I do that, but not very often. What grinds my gears is that my best friend wants to switch schools…and I know it’s just because her boyfriend goes there. ![]()
