Wow, TSS, considering the other two in the trilogy weren’t that highly placed on your list, for Toy Story 3 to come second only to The Incredibles is pretty impressive!
I’m surprised at how just well-liked the final of the series has been on here, but I’m still not convinved that it’ll beat Toy Story for the top spot on my classification. But we shall see.
Well lizardgirl, it wasn’t that I didn’t like the first two Toy Story movies. I really loved them all. And it was really hard for me to classify them. THere were just some movies that I loved more than others.
But Wow-E! TS3 right after TI? That set the bar pretty high!
I predict TS3 might fight with Ratatouille or Up, but will never beat Cars or Wall-E in my books. Of course, my opinion counts for NOUGHT, because I have not seen the film yet. But whatever the outcome, I’m sure it’s gonna be exciting!
Oh man, I feel so bad whenever I rank Pixar’s films, because no Pixar film deserves to be last in a list of anything! Also I can never figure things out, it’s like a virtual 11-way tie! Like it’s so close for me that I could totally empathize with someone who’s list is exactly the same as mine, but upside-down. It’s even harder for me to pick a definite favorite because asking me to use just one film to sum up the entire genius of Pixar is near impossible! Basically any movie from the first four could be put down as my favorite.
Oh yeah, and right now TS3 is actually riding high in first place right now, but that’s to be expected because I just saw it. Its place on my list is based on where I think it will end up after the fever dies down a little bit.
(1.) The Incredibles
(2.) Up
(3.) Toy Story 2
(4.) Toy Story 3
(5.) Toy Story
(6.) Ratatouille
(7.) Monsters, Inc.
(8.) A Bug’s Life
(9.) Finding Nemo
(10.) Cars
(11.) Wall-E
Yep, TS3 was great, but as of now, I still like TS2 better . That may change, though. Again, I love all the Pixar films, just some more than others .
I like the fact that every single Pixar film has at least one person with that film as their favorite one. It just really goes to show how consistent Pixar is and how they’ve never made a bad movie yet!
IncredigirlVirginia- You mean that TI is in the #1 spot ?
The Star Swordsman- Thanks! Yeah, it did go high up on my list. [spoil]I think it’s partly because I’m coming closer to that same stage Andy’s at having to go through things and get rid of them. [/spoil]
Favorite movies of al time (Yes, I actually made a top 101 movies list)-
1: Wall•E
2: Toy Story 3
3: Up
23: Ratatouille
37: Finding Nemo
44: The Incredibles
56: Toy Story
65: Monsters, Inc.
77: Toy Story 2
88: A Bug’s Life
100: Cars
It’s painful making a list, because they’re all so darn good!
My listing changes frequently. The only things that stay the same is WALL-E being 1st place, and Incredibles being in 11th place. The other 9 films always shift around in the middle
This has taken me a LLLOOOONNNGGGG time to think about…in fact, I started thinking about this years ago. I found it very, very, very hard to pcik a favorite Pixar film over another because I LOVE ALL of them, and it’s almost like picking a favorite child or something…you know you don’t have a favorite child because every one of them in special in their own way.
Because I adore all of the stories that come out of Pixar, I think it would be a knife in my heart to put one of them at the bottom of a “list”, so to speak. I just can’t do that, because I know just how much heart, effort, and work it took to make those films.
But if you all take a look at the membergroups I’m associated with, there are 5 very special Pixar films that hold a special place in my heart and appeal to me personally. They are as follows in this order:
WALL-E
A Bug’s Life
Up
Cars
The Incredibles
The other Pixar films I haven’t listed are in no ways WHATSOEVER less than significant or special to me! I hold the others in a “general love” catagory, because every single one of them is a masterpiece and I love them all! These 5 I have just listed are just personally special to me.
