Your Pixar Movies Classification

^Ahh, totally! Y’know, I took the movie to a video game party at a friend’s house so one of my buddies who’d never seen the movie before could watch it with us… and some kid had the gall to totally make jokes during the Stuff We Did part. :unamused: I can’t stand people like that.

Those two jokes both make me cry happy tears.

Monsters Inc
A bug´s life
Toy Story
Finding Nemo
Toy Story 2
Cars
Ratatouille
The incredibles
Toy Story 3
Up
Wall-e

Up and Wall-e started very well but the story went down hill at the middle of the story. And i don´t have an exact opinion of Toy Story 3 yet. I´ll need to rewatch these movies again.

I rewatched all of them(thanks to youtube for TS3 o_0 ).

My preference:

1.)The Incredibles/Toy Story 2
2.)Up
3.)Toy Story
4.)Cars
5.)Ratatouille
6.)Monsters, Inc.
7.)Wall-E
8.)Toy Story 3
9.)A Bug’s Life
10.)Finding Nemo
Note: numbers 4, 5, and 6 are very confused for me.

In terms of meaning and quality:

1.)Wall-E
2.)Up
3.)Toy Story
4.)Finding Nemo
5.)Monsters, Inc.
6.)Ratatouille
7.)Toy Story 2
8.)The Incredibles
9.)Cars
10.)Toy Story 3
11.)A Bug’s Life
Note: I’m pretty sure about these. Although this is still subjective, I’d say most people will admit Wall-E was the deepest, most profound Pixar film.

Well, here’s my list, though I want to clarify that the only film on the list I don’t like (or actually hate) is the one at the very bottom.

  1. Up
  2. Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3 (each one slightly better than the last)
  3. Wall E
  4. Ratatouille
  5. Finding Nemo/The Incredibles
  6. Monsters Inc
  7. A Bug’s Life
  8. Cars

Cars is the only Pixar film that I found nothing to like in, it left me empty in the same way most Dreamworks films too, in fact they HAVE made better films than Cars I feel. (Antz, Shreks 1 and 2)

I’m telling you right now,you and I are not going to get along very well… :stuck_out_tongue:…seriously.You call yourself a “Pixar Fan” and you hate Cars?Ha…you mean to tell me you can’t find one positive think about Cars…ha!! :unamused:

Sorry. I just felt it just felt too much like a children’s film rather than the deep family pictures Pixar are renowned for, but even as a children’s film it came off as weak to me.

Well that’s your problem…

Hey, I’m not attacking people that do like the film :S I’m well aware that even Pixar fans are going to have favourites and least favourites that differ to mine, I’ve seen plenty that put Up and Toy Story 3 (or even any of the Toy Stories) at the bottom.

Don’t like is one thing Hate is another,ok?Evevn in my least favorite film The Incredibles I can still find something positive…Saying Cars is worst than those Dreamworks is very…just…no

I’m sorry but again, the film was far too childish for my liking, I couldn’t connect with one of the characters (Mater was the most irritating character Pixar have ever created, and so unbelievably stereotypical as well)

As for why I preferred Antz and the first two Shreks, well Antz was the most beautifully executed political animated film I’ve ever seen, and it was much more adult in its story telling and overall production than one would expect, and Shreks 1 and 2 while gag fests did have some heart and gave you reason to care about Shrek, to some extent. Ants was a great film and Shreks 1 and 2 were just good, and I do feel all 3 were superior to Cars personally.

But again, as I said, despite being a Pixar devoted forum it’s going to be extremely diverse by its very nature.

Ok,I agree with you sorta on Mater, but to say Cars is lower than those films is ridiculous,Cars is better than that.It may be Pixar’s weakest but it FAR better than those films, and I’m sure a lot of people will agree on that…

Well not me, but I already gave my piece in the previous post, take it or leave it. I’m sorry if I come off as snide here but that really is all I can say. I personally had plenty of reason to prefer those 3 films (mainly Antz though) to Cars. Antz took a lot of risks for a family feature and told one of the most inspiring stories I’ve ever seen in a non Pixar CGI animated film, if not the most.

Cars to me just came off as a film that was made as simple as it was for the sake of marketing, and the sheer amount of Cars merchandise that exists is a testament to that in my personal opinion, again, take it or leave it, as it’s clear we aren’t going to be changing each other’s minds any time soon.

Merchandise,ok so what?Big deal,is that a sin?And yeah,I’m leaving it,because despite people like you thinking what you think,plenty of people like Cars…Including me…

I mean it felt like it was made FOR the sake of merchandising, unlike Pixar’s other films, but again that was just MY impression, how many times must I re-iterate this?

…and I have no problem with that whatsoever, when did I say or even imply I did? :S

I’m not trying to start an argument here, really!

CarsLuver, be nice to Leon. If he doesn’t like Cars, that’s his opinion.

I originally wrote a list of favourite Pixar films on my GS profile, but opinions have changed since then. So here’s my list from best to worst in my opinion.

1). Toy Story 3
2). Toy Story 2
3). The Incredibles
4). Wall-E
5). Toy Story
6). Up
7). Monsters Inc
8). Ratatouille
9). A Bug’s Life
10). Finding Nemo
11). Cars

heh, your avatar gave me the impression that Ratatouille would have been a lot higher, I must confess =P It doesn’t matter, I’m just surprised is all.

And let him senselessly bash my favorite movie?!In the words of Mrs.Incredible:“I don’t think so!” :stuck_out_tongue:

As low as Ratatouille is on the list, I still think it’s a brilliant and entertaining film. Lets just say I’m a huge fan of ALL the Pixar films.

I know I said I would let this rest and I intend to for the most part but damn it, I have got to say that I didn’t “bash it” bashing it would have been “Cars sucks, and you suck for liking it.”

I’m trying my best to get on with people here but it hasn’t always been easy thus far.
