Eheheh
– that was kinda funny, actually. And are you seeing the quality of animation of this thing? I mean, dang whiz.
Great balls of cheese. (snigger)
Ya’ know, I just might see this film. Never thought I would say
that… ![]()

I
thought this looked like a good movie, but after the previews before Shrek 3 … I’m not so sure. It looks like
just a funny little skit, and that’s it. But I may see it anyway. I’m trying to … broaden my horizons when it
comes to animation films. ![]()
Yeah,
this movie does not look to bad. I’m with Mitch, I just might see this film as
well. I never would of thought I would say that either. ![]()
So this movie is kinda like ABL
with a little dash of Shark Tale. I think this movie might not do so well as people expect.
The Star
Swordsman - A Bug’s Tale?

Heheh – don’t remind me
of A Shark’s Tale. (snigger)
it is really wierd. As soon as I herad a few humorous jokes in the trailer, immediately, the
movie shark tale came to my head. Well as long as they focus on the story instead of the acting, then everything
should be alright.
oy vey, will they
stop with the Insect movies? Xb I try to avoid all those. I know I’m going to sound "studio
prejeduce" but DW movies are just rehashes of the SAME jokes… if I hear one more Scarface refrence
I’m gonna explode. XD
really, the only watchable new animated movies are Pixar and Hiyao
Myazaki. Keep up the good work Pixar and Hiyao!
Why
do I get this feeling that Bee MOvie will get the same review Shark Tale did? "It is just like Pixar’s A
Bug’s Life, just not as good,"
I think the trailer will be better then the movie.
based on the most recent trailer I don’t see the plot being anything special. But for the seinfeld-esque humor it might be worth a viewing.
Of the clips I have seen, it looks ok, but as with all of Dreamworks’ films it’s hard to tell from the trailer how good (or bad, as is the usual case) their films are. It doesn’t look particularly fresh or new, although the plot is unique. If their approach to the story is different this time around, they might have a winner on their hands for a change. But I can tell you now, it won’t be no Ratatouille.
My mom saw the trailer for the film (Bee Movie) as she was waiting for Ratatouille to roll its way onto the theater screen she was observing, and she told me that the only thing she remembered about it was the color yellow. I was laughin’ so hard… ![]()
Amen, and amen again.
– Mitch
He he he. That little bee does look cute, though.
The humans look a bit, I don’t know… off? Not as bad as The Polar Express, but even the humans in The Incredibles look better. And I won’t even compare the humans in Bee Movie to the ones in Ratatouille 'cause that would be just plain mean. ![]()
And I must say the celebrity voices in Bee Movie are as annoying as ever.
rachel - Haha. My mom said that, after she remembered what the film was about, the character designs weren’t that…decent. ![]()
Yeah, the humans are kinda… I dunno. The designs don’t bother me that much; they’re cartoony, but not overly so. The character voices are what annoy me (as you previously pointed out). They don’t seem to match their characters very well, for some reason…
Of course, this is DreamWorks. What do you expect? ![]()
– Mitch
The movie previews were slightly different when I saw Ratatouille for my third time, and the music at the beginning of the Bee Movie trailer was the same music used for the WALL•E teaser trailer!
Outrageous.
~~=oP
Yep. Incredible. It’s even scarier when you watch the Bee Movie trailer play right after the WALL-E teaser trailer. Bizarre, man…
Really? Which trailer suited the music more? (or is that the other way around?) ![]()
rachel - Truth be told, I think it fit the Bee Movie trailer more, but that’s just me. When I heard it along with WALL-E I thought, “What the? That’s an interesting song to pick for this teaser…”.
Bizarre. ![]()
I finally saw the trailer for the Bee Movie at the cinema before seeing Die Hard 4.0, and the main thing that I noticed was how annoying the main character was. I could barely put up with him through the trailer, yet alone sit through an hour and ninety minutes of the thing.
I honestly feel like this is nothing but one of Seinfeld’s stand-up routines with poor animation set to it. The bee-character also becomes Jerry which annoys me - I hate it when characters become their voice actors like that or like Will Smith in Shark Tale or Eddie Murphy as Donkey and I really didn’t even like it with Larry the Cable Guy and Mater. It shold be the other way around and voice actors should become their character like Peter O’Toole as Anton Ego or Paul Wenchel as Tigger. Though it’s very easy for it to go wrong when you start casting big names in the roles.
Yeah. Like with Dreamwork’s films with their characters you’re like “Oh yeah - that’s definitely Will Smith/Eddie Murphy/Jerry Seinfeld” and it takes away from the movie, because you’re distracted by the celebrity’s voice instead of focusing on the character.
And other times, their choice of voice actors don’t even suit the role, or the celebrity doesn’t even try to change their way of talking for the character. I hate that. It just sounds like they are talking into the microphone, instead of performing.
But on the other hand, with Pixar’s films you don’t even think about who is voicing the character. You are focusing on the character and nothing else. They are the character, and that’s the way it should be.
