Current Mood: Good, irritated but relieved, eh…
Reason: Well, I was irritated because of I have a nasty cough for and unknown reason, but I’m relieved because Dad just gave me a cough drop.
I’ve been a bit… eh… I don’t know if there’s a better word for it. There’s just a lot going on with my life. Papa and Nana are going to have to move again. And other stuff has been bugging me. I just really need some prayer right now…
But I feel good because, just the other day, I got to see some friends of mine that I haven’t seen for a long time . And we had a blast! I also got to see one of my Taekwondo Instructors yesterday, and he happens to be an amazing artist ! So we showed each other pictures and he told my some techniques to us in the future. And we just had fun in general . It’s nice to finnaly meet up with old friends again !
Reason: Today at school at the beginning of 7th period, we were told via intercom that the school was going into lockdown. We all assumed it was either a drill or that the police dogs were sniffing for drugs in the lockers, nothing too bad. (Some boys were idiots and shouted out, “Bomb threats!” ) Then 8th period came around and we were still stuck in the rooms, not allowed to leave for any reason. About 25 minutes into the period, a girl named Kaitlyn got a text from her mother (I think).
A state trooper was shot on a road in our school district.
Of course, that’s when a lot of us got worried. Our principal told us via intercom that we were leaving 2 busses at a time. I was worried about getting home okay, and worried for my friend, Tessa. She lives in a trailer park not too far away from where the rumored spot on that road was. I was also worried for my little siblings. They’d never even heard of a lockdown before! At the high school, it’s not as big of a deal, I mean, like I said, we can have them just so the police dogs can sniff out drugs. But my siblings are both in elementary school. So I was wondering if they were okay, if they were told about the shooting, if they were scared . . . Many minutes (and many worried tears) later, my bus was called to go home. Tessa’s bus still hadn’t been called.
When I got home, my mom told me that a friend of ours was going to pick up my siblings, and that she had called my dad to take the alternate route home from work (since he usually takes the road where the shooting happened). But then there was the bad news that the killer (yes, the state trooper was killed apparently) was on the lose. When my siblings got home, my sister told me that they were just told that the busses had “broken down” or something like that. My poor sister was scared as heck when she was told she was being picked up. She knows my mom doesn’t have a car to pick her and my brother up with! She was also freaked about why there were police. Then I told her all I knew. And then it hit me, my siblings are lucky that they got picked up. Their bus route (which I should know well since I had the same one in 5th grade) goes on the road of the shooting. Their bus may have been delayed for a long period of time.
I’m scared right now, being that they’re on the lose. Plus, there’s the fact that there’s a rumored 2 more shooters! But it’s just a rumor . . . Hopefully the shooter is caught soon.
LightningAndDoc, yikes! That sounds really serious! I hope they catch whoever is responsible. Glad to know your okay though
JSWC, that sucks, did you lose anything on it?
Violet Parr, I’ll try to remember you in my prayers, I hope that all the stuff happening in your life doesn’t get to chaotic, trust me, i know the feeling of the whole chaotic scene. Oh, and I hope your cough goes away too, I hate it when that happens.
Mood: Um, just normal, I guess, kinda excited
Reason: pretty normal day. After school I had an orthodontist appointment and they added braces on the very far back teeth on the top jaw and it’s kinda annoying cuz I hate the braces I have now and their like “oh, here’s a couple more, have fun” but I’m excited cuz they said I’m almost done with my braces and that next time I go in for an appointment in March they’ll probably be able to tell me an exact date that I get these bad boys off. I can’t freaking wait!!
LightningAndDoc, oh well that’s good. As much as it sucks that he had to die, like you said, he can’t hurt anybody now. It’s good to know that everyone’s else is alright though.
Mood: irritated
Reason: seriously, I have a procrastination problem. I still need to finish this homework
Reason: God, the devastation in the poor country of Haiti as a result of that earthquake is worse than I ever imagined. My church has connections with wonderful people with big visions in the village of Vignier, a few miles away from Port au Prince, and since 1997 have helped them build a church, a 5-floor school, and an orphanage, plus a spacious home for the pastor and his family… and within several minutes, all of those years of work, the money our church and others poured into, and the time spent over there helping them build… it’s all gone. The school has completely collapsed, the pastor’s home is gone, the church is demolished, and the orphanage has suffered serious damage as well. Luckily, he along with his wife and baby girl are all right. But all of that, just gone within minutes… I can’t even imagine…
On a completely unrelated note, I was flipping through channels on our satellite radio this morning and ran into Bad Romance by Lady GaGa… now I’ve had “rah rah ah-ah-ah, roma ma-ma-ma, gaga ooh-lala” stuck in my head ALL DAY. And it’s like, really getting to me.
And I’m not sure if this is a problem or not, but I keep finding myself wishing I would run away from society to go live in the wilderness by myself in simplicity. Just like, avoid all contact with human beings. So that even if I hurt in solitude, no one will be there to judge me for it.
I confuse myself. I feel like Holden or the singer from Horse with no Name.
Reason: My new roommate moved in yesterday and she’s really nice. I think we’ll get along well. I’m also excited for school to start up next week! This will be a crazy busy but fun semester! Can’t wait for it to start! Bring on the animation classes!

Current Mood: Lots of stuff. Just gonna give an update on what’s going on here
For one thing, I’m not back in full force yet, I’m just seriously missing this place, and I need to get my laptop fixed. I’ll try my best to come back soon, I miss the heck out of you guys.
Then, we have my new interest in Gargoyles. Check out the thread for more details, but I’ve seriously fallen in love with this series again (I was into it a few years back), and I very highly recommend it. Get the DVD’s if you can, support Greg Weisman’s amazing work!
On to school, I’ve started my first week, and my classes are SPECTACULAR. I’ve got tons of art classes, and I’m in love with them. This is gonna be an amazing semester, expect a lot of artwork out of me in the coming months. I’m so stoked for this entire year honestly.
THEN, onto the next order of business, you’ve gotta hear about this guys.
I’m almost undoubtedly getting a tour of Pixar in about a month. In addition, there’s a good chance I’ll be hooking up with Mitch in the process and taking her with me. The details haven’t been ironed out, but Michael Frederickson has been an absolutely INCREDIBLE person, and has graciously been helping me plan a trip over to our favorite studio. Updates on this are absolutely MANDATORY, and you guys WILL know EVERY DETAIL of what goes on. I am SO stoked for February.
So yeah, that’s what’s been going on with me for a while.
Reason: Well, for dance team, I had volunteered to choreograph a song. I worked for about a week to get it prepared and ready to go, and a few more days tweaking it here and there. Today was the day I was to start teaching the girls the new choreography and all went good. Only recently, I got a message from my friend who’s also on dance team saying that everyone wanted to do a different song. She reassured me that everyone said I did a good job, but they wanted a song that’s more “fun and amazing.” I’m not trying to be selflish or anything, but don’t they realize how much time I spent putting together that dance! And now they wanna just scrap it because it’s not fast enough! I could’ve spent all that time doing something else, like working on my fanfic, but no. I decided to sacrifice my time to choreograph a dance for the team. I wish that they would’ve thought about that before practically turning on me. :-/
Sorry to hear that LightningAndDoc. I know it feels like it, but try not to take it too personally though. I’m sure you did a great choreography! They’re lame for not wanting to use it.
Current Mood: Slightly overwhelmed
Reason: My new roommate is really nice, but she’s a total extravert and I’m the complete opposite. She has a strong personality that I don’t always know how to deal with. She’s a sweet person, but sometimes just too much for an introverted person like myself. Once school starts on Tuesday, I’ll be spending a lot of time in the computer labs though, so that should help a bit.
