I thought she said that too, but just to be cautions, I rewatched the Kari/Jack-Jack scene. She did say “when I slept” instead of “when I was little”, but it is understandable that you didn’t catch it. My lord her talking is super fast.
The Star Swordsman - Actually, I think she was refering to a quote from A Bug’s Life (you know, when a leaf falls in front of one of the worker ants…). Heheh.
“This is nothing compared to the twig of '93!” - Mr. Soil
This isn’t so much a quote as a scene but I loved this part in Ratatouille:
[spoil]There’s a nasty looking rat with evil eyes near the garbage bins, and Remy is a bit scared, then it jumps out and Emile says: “REMY!”. With a mouth full of food (or whatever he was eating). That part always makes me laugh. [/spoil]And another one:
[spoil]When Remy is trying to get Emile to savour the experience of eating, and Emile says something a long the lines of:
“Yeah, I’m trying to get it… Wait a second… What’s this? It’s kind of like a… No. Nope, I lost it”[/spoil]
Heheh. [spoil]That’s really great voice acting on Emile, and the thing he does with his fingers while saying it, like he is concentrating so hard to get it, is so detailed, and funny.[/spoil]
rachel - I know, it’s so endearing. All of the little nuances and actions they incorporate into the movie and, ultimately, into the characters themselves are both hilarious and incredible.
Oh, and I think that these are Emile (and Remy’s) exact words:
[spoil]“Ok… I’m gettin’ a little something there…” - Emile
“Uh-huh.” - Remy
“It could be the nuttiness…” - Emile
“See?” - Remy
“It might be the tang…” - Emile
“That’s it! Now…imagine every flavor in the world combined! Infinite combinations; tastes that no one has tried yet; discoveries to be [b]MADE[/b]!!!” - Remy
" I think…" - Emile
“Uh-huh?!” - Remy
“…you’ve lost me again.” - Emile[/spoil]
Heheh. Poor Remy. I love that look on his face when he says that second to last line; it’s like he’s just won the lottery or something.
Thanks so much for posting that! I was laughing so much reading that, remembering Emile saying it. Heheh. The[spoil] “It might be the tang.”[/spoil] made me completely lose it. LOL
As for the actions that Pixar have incorporated into Ratatouille… [spoil]The part in the beginning where Remy is in the kitchen trying to fix the soup, when he is walking away to the window for about the 3rd time (I think), then he does that wagging thing with his finger, while his head is down,[/spoil] that is so brilliant. And it got a good laugh and admiration from the adults in the audience, too. I think that would have been the point where the adults would have know that this movie is for them.
