Lucious: Superladies, they’re always trying to tell you their secret
identity. Think it’ll strengthen the relationship or something like that. I
said, ‘‘Girl, I don’t want to know about your mild-mannered alter ego.’’ or
anything like that. I mean, you tell me you’re a
super-mega-ultra-lightning-babe, that’s all right with me. I’m good. I’m good.
rachel - Haha! Well, you’re welcome! Emile is so cute… The poor guy doesn’t get enough attention as far as fan art and stuff goes! (snigger) ![]()
And yeah, that was absolutely brilliant. I’ve noticed several other little nuances and things that make the film all the more endearing, too; stuff like this:
[spoil]1. When Remy is looking down through the window, you can see his nose press up against the glass. It’s very subtle, but you can see it.
-
During the part where Remy says, “The sous chef. There,” you can see him kind of shift his fingers…as if he’s trying to pin-point his subject. Heheh.
-
When all of the rats are jumping through Mabel’s window, in an attempt to escape from the gunshots, you can see one of the little fuzzballs completely flp over and out the window. (snigger)[/spoil]
And my top favorite:
[spoil]4. When Linguini says, “I think she hoped it would help…me. You know, get…get a job…here?,” in between the words “job” and “here” he stops and stares at Colette for a brief moment. Just…brilliant!
[/spoil]
Great stuff! ![]()
And yeah, you’re right. That little moment with Remy and soup kind of…“made it” for the adults. Heheh.
The Star Swordsman - Ooo – I love that part!
– Mitch
That’s my favorite “little moment” too… It’s so simple, yet so… cute, passionate <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Love" /> ![]()
But one of my favorite moments is…
[spoil]…when Remy says “One look and I knew: we had the same crazy idea…”
[/spoil]
Maggie - Yeah, it’s so subtle and simplistic, yet absolutely endearing. Hee hee.
That look on Remy’s face…
(snigger)
– Mitch
Mr. Incredible: You know, you can tell a lot about a woman by the contents of her purse, but, maybe that’s not what you had in mind!
Thug: Hey look. . .(wham!!!)
[spoil]I love that part! When Linguini is fumbling his words around, and he spins his head back around and says, “here”. I love that. It captures his personality so well. I actually didn’t know he was looking at Colette, though. So I’ll keep eye out for it, and all the other parts you mentioned, the next time I see Ratatouille. The part with the rat flipping over sounds hilarious![/spoil] ![]()
Maggie - You mean [spoil]that big smile Remy does[/spoil]?
Exactly! Although it only lasts a couple of seconds, it gives some great insight into the personality of the character in question. It also helps do draw the audience into the story a little more, in a unique and endearing little way. Heheh.
Linguini repeats the same action right before he spills the soup, as well. Once again, it’s very brief, but is hilarious nonetheless. He has this look on his face that’s just…priceless. ![]()
– Mitch
Yes, but also because…
[spoil]in my opinion, that’s the point of the movie when they start to realize that their relationship/friendship can work, you know what I mean?
[/spoil]
I noticed that the very first time I saw the 9 minute clip. When I saw that, I thought “Aww, he likes her!”
<img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Love" />
E: You come in one hour dahling! I insist! Okay? Okay! Good-bye!
(People were cracking up everywhere when I saw that part)
Also that bit you can see in the 10min clip when Remy is going to the window yet again and just glances back with his eyes every time I move my eyes in the direction he’s looking to try to find what he’s looking at even though I know it won’t be over there. I also love all the pieces of rat sized furniture especially the oven mit bed, that is just priceless
[spoil]Emile : You’ve lost me again…[/spoil]
Edited. Please remember to use spoiler tags when necessary. – Mitch
[spoil]“You son of a…!” - Linguini[/spoil]
Thanks goes to Brad Bird for making me laugh for five minutes straight after hearing that.

Bob: Shut it down, do it quickly, don’t destroy it.
Mirage; And don’t die.
Mitch - I did that again ? Oh man, I need to watch what I’m doing …
Gurgle: Scan? What does that mean?
“Thanks” - Mr. Incredible
![]()
GD: Well, he does say “great” before thanks. ![]()
[spoil]I didn’t notice that he did it again before he spills the soup. I gotta pay more attention.
I will next time though, so thanks! But yeah, that’s so sweet. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
Love" />[/spoil]
[spoil]“You son of a…!” - Linguini[/spoil]
Thanks goes to Brad Bird for making me laugh for five minutes straight after hearing that.
[spoil]Son of a “what”???[/spoil]
TSS - I love that part when Mirage says that. Heh.
I watched Monsters, Inc. not that long ago so...
[u]Mike:[/u] Yes! She's out of our hair!
[u]Randal:[/u] Wazalski! What are you up to?
[u]Monsters, Inc. employee (walking past):[/u] They're rehearsing a play!
That part always cracks me up.
Bill - Eh, don’t worry about it, dude. ![]()
I love that part in Finding Nemo, by the way. (snigger)
rachel - You’re welcome for the tip!
As for that sentence of Linguini’s, he never does finish it. That’s as far as it gets. ![]()
Oh, and Mike’s last name is Wazowski, by the way. ![]()
“He touched the butt!” - Tad

Gurgle: I think you’re nuts.
Gill: Fish aren’t meant to be in a box kid. It does things to ya.
Bubbles: (Begins to frolic over bubbles.)
