That’s exactly what I thought. I listened through the whole thing a couple times, and I actually can’t really remember that last track. It doesn’t stick out to me too much. I’m just happy that wasn’t the end. They finished it perfectly with that music
Whoa, delayed reaction, but I agree, Spirit, we are very similar in Harry Potter opinions I just can’t stand PoA for some reason. It might be lingering anger towards Hermione’s rainbow belt. I don’t know why that bothered eleven-year-old me so much, but it did. Maybe it’s because it’s totally out of character.
Hm, I wonder who decided to use Leaving Hogwarts in the first place? Desplat or Yates? I lean towards the composer only because I think they tend to notice every detail, and bits of the SS/PS soundtrack were used in other points of the film, but it’s hard to say.
That may even have been a proposition that came out from production, who were the only one involved since the first movie.
In a way, it was the obvious way to end it, so they may have planned it since a long time ago, just like they did with Smallville (if you’re familiar with the show or its finale, which everyone knew how was going to be)
For what I know, Yates isn’t very familiar with the first films, so I doubt this came from him.
I tried yesterday but it took so long, and my parents were like, ‘go to bed!’ it usually opens at about 7-8 pm in my country.
Sigh. i’ll just wait for october with the rest of the ordinary mortals. have fun though
^ that really stinks! Well, you still have until around Saturday to get in, so hopefully you’ll be able to, you just have to be up at the right time and get lucky, like I did.
I got in on the second day of registration, and shall henceforth be known as “MahoganyWombat49”.
I’m still waiting on my second letter though. I wish it would get here so I can find out exactly what it actually is.
Over the past few days, at around 7pm I get a huge wave of status updates crash into my Facebook news feed with people triumphantly announcing that they got in. It’s pretty funny actually.
