How Pixar can make Cars 2 better than the original...

Just a peck, that’s all.I mean if that wasn’t your original intent, don’t put it in at all pixar. You know the die-hard Lightning and Sally fans and some others are gonna want it in there…I don’t think it’ll look weird.I let my imagination run free!!! :sunglasses:

love70always,Incredigirlvirgina:You can always close your eyes,you know… :stuck_out_tongue:

I would squeal like a 5 year old if they kiss. 8D

Me too… <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" />

I know a lot of people who would do the same. :stuck_out_tongue:

Same here, it wouls seem… very awkward.

How so? I mean, Mrs.“The King” kissed Lightning on the cheek in a scene, and that seemed fine to me.

I don’t remember this… I’ll have to rewatch the film and give it a close look.

It does sound familiar, though…

I was thinking more like mouth to mouth kissing. It’s awkward just typing that!

I think it would be a nice touch, just really strange to watch. I’ve been shocked by Pixar before, though…

This is really good. I like the idea of bringing the Pixar film parodies back. I also don’t think that any actor can voice Doc Huston as good as Paul Newman did, so they’ll probably have to kill him off, sadly. Hopefuly, they’ll include most of these things you listed.

Parodies, I like the idea… The Incaredibles, Finding Nemo with submarines…

I think they could improve this movie with a sequel by:

  • Giving it more emotional moments… I wouldn’t mind some heartbreak in a Cars sequel. I think, if pulled off right, it would give us a more of a connection with the characters and we could sympathyze with them more. That’s one problem I had with the original.

  • Give us a more of a drive (no pun intended) to watch the characters succeed. Maybe the above helps, but I’m not sure how they could do this.

  • Make the extra characters seem a little more “human”, and less one-sided.

  • Rid the movie of any innapropriate humour, fart jokes, etc.

I second that! I dislike fart jokes.

I totally agree with you on fart jokes. That’s more of dreamworks thing any way

I personally hated the original Cars, but I’m willing to give Cars 2 the benefit of the doubt. If they made it more mature, family orientated and cut a lot of the stereotypes present in the first film it could have a LOT of potential.

What are you talking about? It had potential in the first one. There are a lot of people that like it. Enough to make a sequel. Just because you don’t doesn’t mean it didn’t have potential.

More mature?
Oh, sorry. Didn’t know it was a crime to make a children’s movie. Just because all the other films are serious doesn’t mean they can’t have a film geared to just kids for once.
More family oriented?
You’ve got to be kidding me. Couldn’t get more family oriented. Should they have stuck sponge bob in the middle of it? Oh that’s right, the movie has a few adult jokes that the kids don’t even understand. Big deal.
Cut the stereotypes?
Usually when I watch a movie I don’t sit judging the racial personalities of the people I’m watching so I didn’t even think to make a big deal about them until you mentioned it. Ramone and Flo? Mater? Yeah okay, we get it. But did that seriously bother you? The whole point was to make them have human personalities which you can’t tell me they did a bad job on. They did an excellent job on it.

If Pixar are renowned for making family films, I don’t see why it’s so wrong to expect that kind of film from them. If I wanted a film like Cars, I’d go and see one from Dreamworks like Kung Fu Panda for example. This is just my personal viewpoint though and Pixar are going to make Cars 2 however they want regardless of what I say…so why get so funny about it?

P.S When I said sterotypes I meant characters like Mater, I didn’t mean RACIAL sterotypes.

8D You’re funny for comparing the rubbish that flies out of Dreamworks’ mouth to Cars.

Kung Fu Panda 2 comes out next year with Cars 2 so don’t “waste your time” seeing Cars 2 when you can go watch a Dreamworks film like Kung Fu Panda 2.

Read closely. I mentioned Mater in my post. (I wrote mom before because I’m talking to my mom :unamused:)

What was so non family about Cars? You are making no sense. It was their most child friendly movie yet. Are you serious??? 8D

When I say family film, I mean a film that ADULTS can enjoy as much as CHILDREN.

Way to horrify malform what I said.

I’ve had this exact same hostile reaction from 2 Cars fans today that I never got for saying negative things about A Bug’s Life (my second least favourite) anywhere, and I’m not gonna lie it’s starting to annoy me.

Well all the adults I know enjoy it just as much as all the children I know. So way to base the world on your opinion.

I’m taking what you said and throwing it back to you.

You’re having hostile reactions because what you’re saying isn’t making that much sense. Your basing the world around your opinions. It’s starting to annoy you? Is that supposed to make us stop defending the movie we love? :unamused: I’ve got news for you. There are a lot of people that come on this forum and write about how much they dislike Cars. You know what? We’re getting annoyed too. That’s why we defend the movie so harshly. Is that changing anything? No it isn’t. But we do it anyway. We’ll take your opinions, but it isn’t like we’re not going to challenge them.

So if you don’t like the movie so much, go post in the spots of the movies you do like and stop wasting your time on a Dreamworks movie like Cars.
