What I can’t still discern from the drawing is the girl’s age, something I’ve always wondered since I heard about the project.
I’ve figured since the project was first announced she’d probably be around 12-16 (which is a fairly broad range, I know)—it’s about the inner emotional workings of the mind and that’s a good period to work from. I hope he makes it relatable for both sexes.
It’s official! This movie is called Inside Out! I am still really looking forward to it.

Yes, I saw the official confirmation and now I changed the thread’s name
I completely agree with all of this, Leirin. I just really want to find out what Pixar has in store with this one!
The title and concept art reminded me of one of my favourite comics from Beano:
Anyone remember this?
This definitely looks interesting so far!
I’m really antsy for more announcements/images. Sadly, I think it’ll be a while before we get more
Yes, we’re approaching The Good Dinosaur time, and we still don’t even have anything from that one.
So I suspect this one will take a long while.
If only we could reach a happy medium. Not all the overload of information before release like TS3 and Cars 2, but not the lack of information like this either.
Confirmed:
This movie looks genius, I saw a little bit of concept art on a tour of the studio recently
Yea, this one looks interesting. Does it remind anyone of the old Disney ride Cranium Command?
I really look forward to it! I think it might make me cry like in Up, and maybe I’ll feel smarter watching it too.
I hope Disney doesn’t change the name of the movie seeing how they seem to play it safe when it comes to that.
Agreed. I don’t think so, considering Pixar rarely seems to change the name, and it’s not a princess movie, so no gender issues are apparent yet. I like Inside Out as a title.
The day is here! D23 starts and it’s time for something about this movie! I will be constantly updating this post with news.
I like the character designs! Joy looks a little too human in comparison to the others, but I’m eager to see how they’ll look animated. I hope we can see the human girl’s design soon. The way they described her in that article is really appealing and strangely nostalgic to me; I have a hankering she’ll become one of my favorite Pixar protags
