Kung Fu Panda 2

Virginia: Aww, that means a lot to me what you said, thank you!

And yes, the original ending to Kung Fu Panda is no where near my favorite ending! In fact, I forgot what the ending was, it wasn’t memorable at all! So I looked it up, haha! Yeah, it wasn’t memorable at all, and with a lot of action movies, there is room for a sequel. IMO. I need to rewatch Kung Fu Panda… :sunglasses:

The ending made me laugh, but like you said it wasn’t especially satisfying. Definitely glad to know there’ll be a sequel.

Wow, it certainly is very interesting how mixed the responses this trailer has generated! Hopefully the next full-length will fare better.

I thought the ending was cute, but not particularly memorable. It would’ve been cooler if they redid the opening sequence, except Po is now the Dragon Warrior for real instead of a fantasy, to tie into the beginning.

I am super-duper excited for this movie. This, Cars 2 and Rio. Why do I keep repeating myself? Anyway, I really can’t think of any live-action movies to look forward to next year! Thor, maybe? Or Green Hornet? Derp. :unamused:

EDIT Oh yeah, how could I forget? Mission; Impossible - Ghost Protocol fo’ shizzle. Couldn’t care less about any other live-action at the mo’.

The world’s ending! TDIT has gone Gangsta! I think KFP ended fine. I don’t see the need for a sequel, let alone one that might not be as good as the First.

LMBO, PPT! 8D

You sound just like me! I’m not that super excited for KFP 2, but maybe I’ll be more into it once I see another trailer! Or more stills. I’m just really exctied for Rio and Cars 2!

I’m gonna get killed dead when I say this, but I’m more excited for KFP2 than for Cars 2.

/puts up flame shield

Heehee, don’t you go saying that in the Cars forum! Anyway, to each their own, right? I’ll be honest too, I’m more interested for Rio than Cars 2, so you’re not alone!

I agree entirely.

I’ve decided my 2 movie allowance for next year will be Winnie The Pooh and Kung Fu Panda 2.

Ooh, goody! I’m dying to see full-length trailers for Rio and Cars 2, I just love their exotic locations!

That’s cos’ there’s a badger and snake in there, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT I mean, skunk.

Oh yeah, Pooh’s another good 'un.

Point is, with Rango and Happy Feet 2 coming out as well, next year will be another great one for animation!

thedriveintheater: I know right? I am so excited for next year! Ooo, and Rango! I’m really excited for that one, haha!

For some reason, I have this weird complex. I always plan to see sequels, or things from familiar studios. I just noticed that this movie, as well as Pooh, both meet both those standards. I don’t know much about Rango, but I have no interest in Happy Feet 2. I think I might have a problem…

im actually more excited for Cars 2 then this one im gonna cross my fingers that it doesnt become pixars first stinker of a film i actually was angry when they canceled newt due to all the sequels like monsters inc 2 and cars 2 i would like to see new original movies not sequels.

^ Yeah, I see what you mean. I wasn’t excited for Newt, but I would like some originals.

Hey atleast we got Brave coming the first pixar film to have a female lead!

I thought the first film was really good, and one of Dreamworks’s best. This sequel looks nice, but sometimes I wonder if Dreamworks cares more about money. I don’t know. Either way, this film could be really good.

I thought the original was wrapped up pretty nicely, and the after-credits scene with the peach tree was beautiful. A sequel seems like an obvious cash-in, but since it is I’ll be quite.

Hey, Dreamworks is known for having caught a massive case of the sequelitis. And it’s contagious, apparently, as everyone in Animationland is making sequels. Blue Sky appears to be immune, what with them making Rio. And now professor doctor Badger will have to leave to fangirl about Rare videogames.

Oh man I forgot about Rio! That’s the first movie I wanna see next year, really. Biiiiirds.

TDIT: Rofl, probably. And I really hope that KFP2’s skunk character isn’t a stereotype. You know, not the usual ‘Duuur, I smell bad and fall in lurv with caaaats’ stereotype. Sometimes stereotypes are funny but they… don’t always work out.

It seems Rio and Rango are the only original animated commercial films out next year. :frowning:

That’s probably why I’m really more excited for them than the others. I still can’t wait to see Cars 2 and Winnie the Pooh though. But Rio, dang, can’t wait.
