Kung Fu Panda 2

Sorry, who are the Wu sisters?

The Wu Sisters are a trio of snow leopards, and were part of a villainous gang Tai Lung had at one time in story development for the first film.
They are in the video games, but still…

Wow! They look insanely cool!

I’m looking forward to this so far if that’s true. Peacocks do have a habit of being vain in media (well it’s kind of true of real life, but guys need the action to spread those dang genes) which might be a bit predictable if they go in that direction but eh. They might surprise us and even so it would make sense in this case anyway. The other team has me interested too. Male Peacocks tails are exceedingly impractical though of course. They’d so totally get in the way of fighting or even getting away- the only reason they have them now is because females prefer that trait and the benefit of passing genes outweights the risk of survival…sorry went on tangent there.

/wild speculation

Possibly, given his particular species he’s someone who couldn’t master kung-fu himself? Or something like that. (Orrr, maybe he couldn’t master it right away and so gave up. I don’t even know.) And so he’s maybe kind of bitter. But in a Syndrome-esk sort of way he’s somehow threatening and impressive without those particular ‘gifts’ (though of course Po and the gang worked for theirs unlike those with superpowers so that’s kind of different.)

As I suggested earlier the gang might have to learn other methods of fighting which don’t involve Kung-fu. Maybe he’ll ‘accidentally’ even teach them and Po a thing or two about other ways of dealing wth problems. Even if he’s technically not going the right way about it morally speaking. And his insecurity is stopping him from seeing he’s excellent with or without Kung Fu- and doesn’t need to be so dang insecure. Sometimes through challenges and failures we can find talents we didn’t know we had or didn’t appreciate us having.

/ends wild speculation

(For now).

Woah. They look just like Tai Lung, but they’re girls.

Thanks Zenoah!

I’ve been seeing ‘Prepare for the Year of Awesomeness’ posters all over cinemas and MRT (train) stations in town here. Probably to coincide with the Lunar New Year… but wow, I’ve never seen promotional campaigns start this early in ‘public areas’. :open_mouth:

That’s because you haven’t lived in America.

Seriously, we have campaigns start for films that are barely out of pre-production sometimes.

Look no further than Disney’s ramp-up campaign for Tron: Legacy. If I hadn’t already known I would’ve thought the film came out two years before. 8D

I feel that would ruin the movie for me. I don’t know why, I just… bah. It gets old. A sequel where the hero meets his other half. Growing tired of it… :frowning:

I’m wondering whether we should change the thread title to reflect the tamer ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’?

Or ‘Ska2oosh’?

Okay, okay, no girl panda. It was just a(bad) idea. :stuck_out_tongue:

New teaser was released for the Super Bowl

As well as an official synopsis

I think this movie looks like a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the previous installment. If they can keep that level going for this one it shouldn’t disappoint. I’ve been looking forward to Dreamworks features more and more lately.

Carl had a walker. Rapunzel had a saucepan. Now Po has the next in advanced weaponry… the humble wok.

Same video on the official Dreamworks YouTube:

I’m really anticipating this movie.

I could probably go either way on this one. I thought the first one was good, but I didn’t love it. And I’m not really a fan of Jack Black. But this sounds kinda interesting! I guess I’ll give it a chance. Dreamworks is surprising me more and more lately.

The previews don’t look very promising at the moment, but neither did the previews for the original one back in 2008. I’m going to see this and I’m expecting to at least like it. Dreamworks has been going into the right direction lately, and I hope they can keep it up.

Lol, I saw that earlier today, the official Queen account tweeted it. :stuck_out_tongue: The timing was pretty good, I think it could’ve been a bit more…grabbing than that, but I guess it will be on theater screens.

I really want to see this, just because of how much I love the first. I don’t care about bad trailers!!

I give you THE ULTIMATE TIE-IN

This is a huge score for Dreamworks. It would’ve been like Warners getting Sea World to name an orca Willy back in the 90s.

That’s pretty cool.
