Well, at least we now know what it really is. We all kinda figured that it is the same character. thanks kaszubas.
Okay, that’s strange, because I know I saw him with black hair.
I’m seeing the film again tomorrow, so I’ll double check but I’m pretty sure he had black hair, which would make him not Linguini. But I’m probably wrong. =P
EDIT: Nevermind, my computer finally loaded the page, and they said it was a model. So, it couldn’t be Linguini. Unless you speculate that he lived on a farm with his mom before moving to Paris … Which I did.
Kaszubas - I knew it!
Heheh. Thanks for the information, dude!
Well that’s a relief! I thought that it came across way to harsh.
Haha. Believe me, I live for sarcasm.
Well Now that I’ve seen it, I can comment more on it. I thought it was okay. Not as amusing as I expected it to be, but not bad. So I guess I’d put it right in the middle. Along the lines of For the Birds which I didnt care for all that much either. That kid did look a lot like Linguini, but I didnt think they’d put him in that. [spoil]I did like the giant alien, how he reacted by actually not reacting. and it was funny how the little eventually cracked and was flailing around, flipping all the switches [/spoil]
Just a note:
I watched the short again twice yesterday, and I’ve come to the realization that the farmer definitely has brown hair. It’s pretty noticeable, if you look close enough.
After seeing it, I don’t think we can completely confirm that the farmer is Linguini. Two reasons.
One, it’s really hard to see anything, period.
Two, there was a “Ratatouille Fun Facts” a while back on some website, and it said that to save time, Pixar animators modeled the main characters in Ratatouille without any toes. The farmer definetely had toes, so unless they added them, it might not be Linguini.
And I just thought of something: what if this farmer is either the adolescent ranger or the sevent-something guy from Up? (Or at least a early model of him) Could be, could be…
EDIT: Well, it seems Bird is saying that it’s Linguini, so they must of added toes!
Okay, I saw lifted and I have never laughed so hard at a short in a long time. it just beat Mike’s New Car on my list. Yep, it was so funny and so cute! I love it so much. Just when you think something is about to happen, something else hits ya. and once you think it is over, they throw in another one.
Yeah, I felt the same way. It just had this “touch” to it that I haven’t felt with a short film in a long time…
How about this:
[spoil]At the end when Mr. B lets Stu drive and the spaceship takes off and then crashes down onto the house leaving the bottom of the ship covered with dirt and the farmer still asleep in his bed on a hole. [/spoil]
Bill - Ha! That was soo funny! I mean, your feeling sorry for this guy one second, then your happy for his “second chance”. But he screws it all up! Such comedy!
I just bought “Lifted” on iTunes for $1.98! Now it’s on my iPod. I love having Pixar wherever I go!
JF - Lucky!
JesusFreak - Sweet! I want an iPod! Check that…I need an iPod!

Man, it makes me wish that i have an Ipod VIdeo right now. You lucky person you JF.
JesusFreak - Haha. Awesome!
Sorry for the double post…
A little fun fact I discovered while watching Lifted for the second to last time:
[spoil]If you look under the farmer’s bed (during the shot where the farmer is plopped down on the floor before being drawn out the window), you’ll notice the little tin toy from Pixar’s short film, Tin Toy.[/spoil]
This is why I look around the rooms and stuff while watching Pixar features and short films. Sometimes you’ll notice little trinkets and stuff like this. Pretty cool.

AH, I knew there would be something [spoil]from a Past Pixar production that would have a little cameo.[/spoil]I must try to look for it again next time. Nice find Mitch.
Very cool. Thanks for the heads-up.
Sure thing, dudes.
