Lifted

Unfortunately, the name “Mr. B” has been forever tainted for me by watching the 50s-60s era short,

“Mr. B. Natural” on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Now whenever I hear the

name “Mr. B” I picture a spritely blonde woman who is dressed like a music-themed Peter Pan and is

altogether too happy…

On topic, though, I love the pictures - Stu

especially reminds me of Flubber in the way that it is gelatinous and slightly transparent-looking… I can’t

wait to see this one. It looks like it might rank quite highly on my favorite Pixar shorts list.

KE - Ohh…that’s too bad.

I hate it when mental images replace particular names, places, etc…after one views them, so I know what you

mean. Maybe you’ll think of the alien when hearing the name “Mr. B” after watching

Lifted:wink:

As for me, I have the Disney Channel show

That’s So Raven stuck in my head…due to the fact that Eddie (one of the actors)

calls Raven’s dad by the name “Mr. B”. Oh well. (snigger)

Yep. He was a character designer for The

Incredibles and was the voice of the newsreel narrator. Teddy is one of the people Brad Bird

brought with him from Warner Bros. after working together on The Iron Giant. He has

mad storyboarding skills. :sunglasses:

Mitch -

I don’t know… “Mr. B Natural” is pretty “sticky”… this particular brand of bad sticks

with you for a long time. If it weren’t for MST3K, it would be soul-killingly unwatchable. I’d say you should

watch it, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re brave, however, you can see it

here (It is in two parts, though).

Don’t forget guys with all this Ratatouille hype

that Lifted is also showing with it.

That is

also true. Another reason to watch Ratatouille, see the short Lifted!

JV - Thanks for reminding us! Truth be told, I forgot about it… :stuck_out_tongue:

Mitch - LOL

Yeah, with all of this hype of ratatouille around here, it is easy to forget other things to be anticipating

along with the release of the movie.

I don’t know if this has been posted

but…

Yeah…found it on Pixar.com

I don’t think I have seen that before. it is intresting to get a preview look before we

actually see it in theatres.

Hey, thanks CarFreak! I don’t know if anyone’s seen

that yet, so cool, your first!

Stu and the instructer seem awesome! Maybe the best designed Pixar

short characters yet, in my opinion. I seemed to have forgotten Lifted, in all of

this Ratatouille craze, and I’m tellin’ ya, it’s just one more reason to see

Ratatouillle! :stuck_out_tongue:

That has been up there for a while

actually. Man, I am so excited for this short and we only have a couple of weeks left to wait for it.

Bill- Some of us do, Bill, but not everyone.

Awww, poor you lizardgirl. I am sorry about that.

Bill

– You mean about a month, right?

Gasduude - Yeah, about a

month. Why didn’t I put that there? Oh well…

I

don’t know how this short film did not win an Oscar. In my opinion, this short film was the best and funniest

short film Pixar has ever done!

JV

– Best one, huh?

Here’s a question: was the “boy” in the short Linguini?

Gasduude - It had to be Linguini, he looked just like

him.
