Mater and the Ghostlight

I think Mater has been annoying them for a while. They

were just waiting for the right moment to strike.

Haha – but, of course! If someone tried to

“steal” my flowers, overload my residence with organic fuel cans, and scare the living daylights out of

me, I would certainly want to get revenge…in a nice sort of way. I do it all the time with my sister – heheh.

I wonder if Mater still

continued to play tricks on the people of Radiator springs.

Hmm. I’m not sure. I

suspect that he was a little spooked for a while, after the little “ghostlight” incident; however, I’m

sure he went back to his dasterdly plan after a certain amount of time.

And if he pushes it too far, I would imagine the other

Cars would get back at him, but with an even more terrifying monster.

Well, the

“Screamin’ Banshee” did show up on the scene; although, Mater seemed rather oblivious to him, didn’t

he? Perhaps the bigger the monster, the less Mater is scared of it? :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess Mater was so scared of the name “Screamin Banshee”, he forgot

to snap into reality.

Haha – yeah, maybe.

I just

thought it was funny that the thing was right in front of him, and yet…Mater thought that it was just another

random car/truck… :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, like I

said, he still hasn’t snapped back into reality after hearing the name.

Indeed. I suppose

that he was so frightened after the ghostlight incident that he didn’t come to his senses when the

“Screamin’ Banshee” showed up. He hadn’t “snapped back into reality”, as you put it.

I think I just said that.

Yeah, I just worded it

differently. (snigger)

Heheh – my apologies. I love to ramble. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s okay. But all and all, MATGL was pretty good.

The Star

Swordsman - Thanks. And yes, I agree. Mater and the Ghostlight has to

be – in my opinion – one of Pixar’s best shorts yet. It certainly is one of the funniest…

Well, I didn’t really find it humorous. I found it

cute.

For me the screaming banshee at the end was a bit of an anti-climax. I thought he was

gonna freak out again. But it was a funny one, that’s for sure.

I always thought it was a good

ending. It made me think a bit.

This is one of the

better short films, though Lifted might also be on that list. Verry funny! I especially like the ending of the

film. Great humor throughout. I would rate this an 7.5/10.

Really? I wouldn’t expect to hear a guy call a feature/short “cute”,

but I suppose I was wrong. No offense.

Bill - Welcome to

Pixar Planet, Bill!

Yes, I believe that Lifted

will probably be “up there” on my list, as well. From the pictures I have seen – and the positive news

I have heard of it – it sounds great.

Although, sometimes I wish there could be more to the short. Maybe add an extra two minutes?
