Most overrated films of all time

It didn’t go to plan unfortunatly ;-p

awwwww…

Hmmmmm…

Clash of the Titans? I enjoyed it, but i think it was a little bit too acclaimed for it’s actual quality. Too much of the same screaming from Perseus, and also, this story kind of drifted and even made plot gaps in the story from the original.

Finally, someone who agrees with me on that

Any other movie that i can think of?

Oh, i know one!

Gnomeo and Juliet! How classy!

I don’t know if I’d call it overrated, it didn’t get that much praise.

Exactly Kenzie, and yet they call it awesome!

I thought dizney was going to stop with these cartoons and move to live filming after Tangled?

Well, Gnomeo and Juliet isn’t a Walt Disney Animation Studios Film, but I believe it was distributed by Disney. Also, Disney makes both animated and live action films, and have done so for decades.

Hey, Gnomeo and Juliet was a good film, and not really overrated imo.

I personally hated that movie, but it’s not over rated by any means.

I agree that Clash of the Titans was very over rated.

Well, Disney was going to stop doing animation films in general!

I highly doubt that, if anything they seem to be expanding. Where did you hear this?

I severely doubt Disney would go to only live action. That would be just weird.

If they did that, then that would be a huge mistake on their part. I mean, Princess and the Frog and Tangled got them award nominations. Animation is their foundation.

Well, you never know
They probably get loads with the PoTC franchise.

^ Yes, but a large sector of their fanbase likes the animation. The best thing to do is to make live-action movies for regular teenagers, and animated movies for…the rest of us. 8D That’s the best way to make money.

Good point IV, but every body can also enjoy live action movies as well, and not just teenagers. I myself am included in that.

I like the PotC and National Treasure movies myself. But the target demographic is typically American teenage boys. Of course that doesn’t mean girls and adults don’t like it, it’s just the target audience.

titanic, twilight, and avatar all come to mind.

i actually secretly love titanic, but it’s kind of like two movies - one that’s fantastic and one that’s really quite awful - combined, so. and to think there are people calling it the best movie ever. hmm.

the fact that twilight (not even just the movies, but the books too) gets any praise at all scares me. i’ll probably see breaking dawn for the lulz. but i’ll watch it free online. i’m not paying for that.

as for avatar, idg the hype. i mean, the special effects were gorgeous, but i wasn’t really impressed with anything else. but that’s just me.

but all of these have probably been mentioned already.

(p.s. i also think forrest gump is sort of overrated. it’s one of my favorite films, actually, but the fact that it broke pulp fiction’s heart doesn’t sit right with me.)

I agree on Titanic. I watched it the other day, and I seriously don’t understand it’s so popular.
