Movies - both new and old

Bill: Oh man, you’d better steer clear of that ET ride in Universal. They’ve got life-like animatronics of several ET-like creatures.

I just watched Jumanji for the first time in … ten years. It seemed so much longer and much more realistic back then- the graphics aren’t bad but they are kinda faulty. Not bad for '95 though. ^^

FONY - I haven’t seen Jumanji yet, but I agree that the graphics would seem dated now.

Yeah, I know what you mean…especially if you watch it on VHS. I guess I’m used to that DVD “crispiness”.

Any thoughts on the new Star Trek film ?

Amen! (snigger)

lizardgirl (on the film, A.I.) - Wow – sounds brilliant. I’ll definitely have to take a look at it, then!

I’ve seen Jumanji quite a few times now, and every time I watch it I absolutely love it. Another great film that is similar to that one (and which was directed by the same man, I believe) is Zathura. Now that was a great film. I liked it, at least.

Bill - New Star Trek film? Which one?

Mitch - The eleventh one.

Bill - Oh that one! Oh yeah, I’ll definitely be seeing it for sure, seeing as I’m half a “Trekkie”.

Thanks for the information, Bill!

Have you guys seen An Inconvenient Truth? I have, and I’m telling you, it really concerned me. What about you?

What are you’re thoughts about the eleventh Star Trek film, Mitch ?

I watched a clip of Godspell but only to get a screencap for my site. I miss the movie- I need to take time out to watch it again one of these days.

I hate school. I never have time for things 'cause of it, though I can’t complain much since I get out at 1 pm. ^^

Aaaand I need to find Corrina, Corrina. Awesome film. ^^

Check this out.

OMG I wanna see that movie so bad!! Hopefully, they’ll make the movie much more interesting than the book- IMO, Prince Caspian and Dawn Treader weren’t so great. It’s Silver Chair and Last Battle I’m really looking forward to.

I really loved Narnia. I just can’t wait for this movie to come out. It is gonna be so cool.

How many of you guys seen the old movie

“Pyscho”?

I need an opinon of the Steven Spielberg film Catch Me if You Can . Have any of you guys seen it?

Bill - Ohhh…I’ve only seen the last half or third of that film, but despite my not remembering every detail…I do know that it is/was a great film. I’ll have to watch it again sometime…

Well, Ocean’s Thirteen just opened on Friday. Anyone have any interest in seeing it? I haven’t seen the first two, but I heard that Ocean’s Twelve wasn’t very good.

I saw it on opening night with my friends. We missed the

first five minutes (since they insisted on going to Mcdonald’s and sneaking some burgers in :unamused:) but it was

surprisingly easy to pick up. The general premise is simple, but all of the details within the film are

complicated but very, very clever. There are loads of ‘aaah, I understand now!’ moments, and the acting was

very natural and convincing.

All in all, definitely worth seeing, even if you haven’t seen the previous

films in the series. I give it 8.5 out of 10!

I just saw the trailer to

Rush HOur 3. I was roling on the floor laughing after that.

Not the best Spielberg film, but

brilliant nonetheless (in my opinion, at least). It was fun to follow the main character’s (i.e., Frank

Abegnale, Jr.'s) con tricks, but at the same time, you’ll realize that con-artistry is, as we all know,

detrimental to society. It’s also a story of redemption, but I’ll leave it at that - I don’t want to spoil the

whole story for you.
