Movies - both new and old

Bleh. I’m being forced to watch Catch Me If You Can in

Economics class, but it didn’t catch my interest so I just doodled all period.

I finally saw

Eragon- not bad, actually, even though they completely messed up in taking stuff

from the book. And I couldn’t stop laughing at Durza. xD I bet I would’ve enjoyed the film if I hadn’t read

the book, but the book was enjoyable anyways.

I wanted to see Eragon. It

looks like such a fascinating movie.

From what I’ve heard,

Eragon might become a franchise but I’m not hoping for it.

What do you all think about the movie Ocean’s Thirteen? And what did you think about the other ones?

Recently, I saw My Neighbor Totoro- not bad for anime actually. Was recommended by John Lasseter, that’s the only reason I watched it.

And yeshterday, I watched Trees Lounge. Not a kid’s film, but Steve Buscemi wrote, directed, and acted in it, so it was all good.

Live Free or Die Hard opened yesterday. Now, it’s been 14 years I believe since the last Die Hard movie so I don’t really expect this film to do well at the box office.

My Favorite movie of all time is Stargate. The movie that started one of my Favorite TV show Stargate SG-1. The Movie I really want to see is The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything: A Veggie Tales Movie. Coming out in 2008

I heard that it acually was a pretty good movie.

I bought four DVDs last night- they were in 2-packs for $8.99 for 2. Anyways, I got Anastasia, Thumbelina, Because of Winn Dixie, and Good Boy.

I bought Anastasia and Thumbelina because I grew up with the two. I haven’t watched them yet, but I’m going to dive into the features after I see Ratatouille.

I watched Because of Winn Dixie last night, and though I haven’t read the book before (as far as I can recall) it was a pretty good film. Worthwhile. I trusted it because Walden Media distributed it.

I watched only a bit of Good Boy, then made the mistake of stopping it to get my cat some water, for it didn’t play again. I hate the birds. Anyways, it seemed like a good movie, a bit corny, but I’m looking forward to the rest. I bought it because John Robert Hoffman directed and wrote the screenplay. He’s the awesomeness that was Mister Mad Hatter in my all-time favorite childhood series Adventures in Wonderland. <3

EEEP! One of the best…films…EVER!

God, don’t you just love Tommy? Just the way he’s sort of living without any aims or anything- he’s so stuck and doesn’t know what to do…Trees Lounge has a kind of aura around it, like an atmosphere…I could watch that film a million times over and never get bored of it!

How did you find it?

I’m desperate to get the Scary Movie box set. I need those films… :smiling_imp:

lizardgirl: My dad actually found it at the flea market and he knew I liked Steve Buscemi, so he bought it. It’s a good movie- I’m surprised I never heard of it.

FONY- The second I fell in love with Steve, I made it my aim to watch all of his films, and since he practically created Trees Lounge by himself, that was a top one to watch. I love the soundtrack as well- have you heard the song in the ending credits? It’s amazing!

lizardgirl: I’m still working my way through watching all his works ^^ I’ve done the same with Steve Coogan.

I’ll buy any film as long as he’s got a role in it. ^^ He’s actually the only reason I’ll watch an Adam Sandler film on TV, just to catch his teeny roles ^^

I didn’t catch the song on the credits, but now that you mentioned it I’ll be sure to check it out.

Last week, I watched Fifty First Dates with my girlfriend. I liked it, she loved it. I thought it was a sad movie. My gf told me she was bawling at this one scene, but it was a funny movie too.

Here’s the Wikipedia page for the Batman Begins sequel : The Dark Knight .

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Knight_%28film%29

Batman Begins was a reboot of the series . I enjoyed it very much because it is what the Batman franchise should be - dark, more faithful to the comics, etc. In the sequel we get Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain) starring as The Joker.

FONY- I love how Steve’s always in the Adam Sandler films. He always has the wackiest roles, like Crazy Eyes- what was that all about?!

lizardgirl: Lol! Yeah, I loved that role- the movie was a flop, but I always stick around to catch his little bits before I change the channel

Anyways, I saw RV yesterday- bad movie, but worthwhile since Will Arnett and Tony Hale were in it.

I watched a bit of Thumbelina, but I was totally weirded out. It made Swan Princess look normal. Now I know why I was so messed up as a kid, and why I’m still messed up now. xD

I just got back from seeing Transformers. The special effects and stunts were amazing.

The action scenes were so intense I was sweating in my seat

If anyone is planning to see Ratatouille more than 3 times I suggest you see it one less time and pay to see Transformers!!!

P.S. I love the Saleen Mustang cop car :open_mouth:

aZnCdn - Glad you like Transformers! I saw the trailer for it and thought it looked sweet…so that’s cool. There’s a theater nearby where I live that gives “double” showings - two movies played back-to-back. Soooo I’m hoping there will be a Ratatouille, Transformers combo!

That would be awesome!!!
