I imagined so, because it’s very Hollywood-y, but I still think it’s adorable.
PF, I think I saw most of Miracle in a high school US history class when we were discussing the Cold War. It was good as far as sports films go.

I saw Miracle when it came out in theatres back in 2004. I remember it being one of the only times I’ve ever actually slept in the theatre!
What I lie about it it’s based on a true story. It’s seen as the greatest upset ever.
I don’t really watch hockey anymore but I know that it is.
Fish Story - Not as great as I hoped it would be, but still a cute film.
I love Breakfast at Tiffany’s!! It’s my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie.
I saw Soylent Green yesterday. Loved it!! Same for On the Waterfront.
Remember The Little Rascal’s?
Wow, I’m watching this movie right now. Heh. I’ll tell you whether I like it later.
That’s one is a classic. Great Brando on it.
I like him on every movie of his I’ve seen, even A Streetcar named Desire. My parents HATED that movie. ![]()
I’ve been looking to watch the movie Tommy (1975) and can’t find it anywhere. ![]()

Any remakes of a movie you guys feel is better then the original?
I think The Parent Trap (1998) is better then The Parent Trap (1961).
I read some say the True Grit remake is better then the original
I haven’s seen that yet either.
Haven’t seen the original True Grit, but I prefer the original Parent Trap. Actually, I rather like the new Freaky Friday.
I haven’t seen the original True Grit, but I really liked the remake. Very deserving of its Best Picture nomination.
Both are quite good remakes, but I prefer the originals in both instances.
Winnie the Pooh - Not really sure what to think of this film. To begin, the concept of recapturing the simple, uncomplicated, innocent world of Pooh was one with good intentions. However, while I do love the original film, this feels too much like a sleek direct-to-video sequel. The short length doesn’t help, and neither does the fact that many second-rate/DTV Pooh sequels have been made before.
Everything’s good enough, and nothing’s bad, but… I don’t know. The humor in the original film allowed for adults to watch something that could also be appropriate for kids while still fully enjoying the stories, but in the new film, it feels too dumbed down. You know? It has that slow pacing for small children to absorb and I become too aware that the intended audience is not someone such as myself. It’s too careful and safe, but I don’t mean that I want incredibly edgy humor or anything risque. My favorite moment in the original film is when Pooh gets his large rear-end stuck in Rabbit’s house. Ha!
I did like the songs Zooey sang, though. The others were okay but not as wonderful as what the Sherman brothers wrote (I sing those regularly around my apartment
), but I guess you can’t expect everyone to be as good as those fellas. So I liked the film enough, but it won’t be something I want to revisit again and again, unfortunately. All of this said, I admire that Disney is returning somewhat to its roots and chose to create a classic, vintage film.
Haven’t seen the new one yet. I saw the original. Also used to watch the cartoon series.
I still need to see the new one.
