Thanks! Me too. That’s too unintelligent.
Well, not necessarily unintelligent, since I respect people uninterested in film as an art.
But I cherish when someone turns to this side of the fence.
Same here.
E.T. is definitely one of my favorite movies. Easily top 50, if not top 25. I’ve been wanting to watch it for the past year but my boyfriend’s never in the mood. Clearly I should just watch it on my own. ![]()
I watched Take Shelter and admired it, especially for its excellently executed drama and building tension. Shame it wasn’t recognized like it should have been. I’d probably award it an A- grade.
I think E.T is great, but I haven’t watched it in a long while.
I haven’t seen ET since I was a wee 3-year-old, and I’d love to watch it again.
I have never watched that film before.
The mom seems to let who kids to anything. Smoke, cuss, and she didn’t seem to mad when the school said Elliot was intoxicated.
They are weird parents^^.
You mean Mom. They don’t have a dad because he left.
Ok then I mean mum.
An that’s one of the main themes of that film, and most of Spielberg’s pictures for that matter.
What’s your favorite Spielberg flm?
I can’t be 100% sure.
I’m a fan of Spielberg as a whole, and he’s one of my favorite objects of study. Besides, I don’t believe in favorites, it’s an ever changing thing that doesn’t allow for more than one thing to be considered on the same level, and I do think a lot of Spielberg’s films deservedly share that first spot.
Speaking of Speilberg, I saw Tintin yesterday at the dollar movies. Thanks to my friend, we were late, and I missed the beginning. But I loved the movie, especially the adventurous feeling.
I’m sad you missed the beginning. There are many great things there, specially the awesome titles and the Hergé cameo.
Aw. I hope I can rent it. ![]()
The Secret World of Arrietty: I loved this movie! It’s not on the grand scale of Ghibli movies like Spirited Away, but its payoff and storytelling is almost just as satisfying, and it is very much so worth seeing. The pacing is emotional and smooth without feeling slow or groggy. And Cecile Corbell’s music was fantastic!
^Great to hear!! ![]()
I just saw Taken. I liked it a lot.
I’ve heard a good bit about that movie! I need to check it out sometime…
