Movies - both new and old

GD, I see your point right there, but you have to admit this too. Ratatouille went up against some really heavy competition when it was released. It did just fine right? In fact, I think it did even better.

Well, I didn’t see the first Transformers film, so I’ll see that one and form my own opinion before I view the sequel. The writers from the first one are coming back despite them saying that they wouldn’t return because Star Trek was " taking up most of our time" . I agree with TSS though, Ratatouille did better than I thought it would. Hey, it managed to survive when it was put against Harry Potter , Pirates , and the first Transformers , so I think that Up will do fine at the box office.

I’ve finally watched most of Dawn of the Dead and I’m going to watch more now. Ish interesting and funny, IMO.

Dawn of the Dead is definitely one of the great zombie classics. I do prefer 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later, though- there’s something so intense about zombies that can actually run really fast and are quite intelligent.

I watched Monster House a few nights ago. I wasn’t really expecting much of it, but it turned out to be pretty good. The animation wasn’t anything special, but the characters and story were quite captivating. The story did get a little OTT near the end, but it was still good nonetheless.

I purchased Tim 's Planet of the Apes last Friday, and I like it. The make-up in that was top-notch (done by the make-up genius, Rick Baker) . Nice cast as well, Mark Walberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter (of course) , Paul Giamatti , etc.

A movie I saw today was Scary Movie 2. I thought it was funny, but really wrong and gross at the same time.

The opening scene of Scary Movie 2 has to be one of the funniest clips of anything of all time. “Lord, release the demon within me!”

I think I really liked seeing all of the parodies they tried to spin off of.

I just watched about an hour and a half’s worth of Merlin. Meant to watch all 3 hours but didn’t have the time. =P

I saw James Bond, Die Another Day and Tommorow Never Dies. Both I really love, but I like Tommorow never dies much better.

I finally got a chance to see Muppet Treasure Island a couple of days ago. I’d meant to see it years ago, but I never got the opportunity to do so until recently. My sister and I watched it at night and…we’re probably going to watch it again this night. Laughed our heads off the first tiime around, we did…

Mitch - I remember that movie! Muppet Treasure Island was really funny. I haven’t seen it a long time, and I mean a long time. Maybe, let’s see, I would say it’s been five years at least since I’ve watched it.

Bill - I know, it’s hilarious!! I was choking from laughing so hard…

Woah. It’s been that long? You’ve gotta watch it again, dude!

Ahh, Tim Burton… amazing

Haha, i’ve seen Planet of the Apes only once, and I was seven, or somewhere around there, so I don’t remember it very well. I found it boring back then, but I probably had no idea of what was going on :stuck_out_tongue: I should rent it sometime.

Mitch: Oh I love Muppet Treasure Island. It is so funny and you got to love the characters and songs.

Speaking of Muppets…

Do any of you like the Muppet Movie? I love it! It’s become one of my favorites. I love the humour, even though it’s really cheesy. I find things like that to be genuinely funny

I think I remember that movie. I thought it was kinda funny. Not my favorite muppet movie, but still, it was good.

I’m going to see Dan in Real Life tomorrow. That seems like one heck of a funny movie. It should be great. It’s gotten fantastic reviews so far.

Muppet Treasure Island has to be one of the best films ever!

Well, I doubt the one of the best, but it does rank in the top 100 in my list.
